Chapter 689

“M-Mr. Warner, I was wrong!”

Mike, who had started as very arrogant, now trembled in fear without any hint of intoxication.

Bradley coldly pulled the trigger, and Mike turned pale, his forehead drenched in cold sweat.

Another gunshot rang out, hitting Mike’s other leg.

“Mr. Warner…” Sally was terrified and pale as she rushed over, humbly begging.

Bradley pointed the rifle at Sally’s forehead and spoke coldly. “Leave.”

Sally tremblingly closed her eyes, expecting a bullet, but it struck Mike’s arm instead.

Bradley’s eyes were ruthlessly.

Mike was in agonizing pain, nearly passing out. Bradley watched his struggles and aimed the rifle at hisother arm, firing it four times.

Mike eventually lost consciousness.

“Clean the floor properly,” Bradley ordered.novelbin

Sally nodded frantically. “Yes, sir.”

With the rifle in hand, Bradley stepped on the bloody floor and slowly approached the crystal coffin. Hepressed a button on the remote, and its lid rose.

“Esther.”

Esther turned white upon hearing Bradley’s voice. She looked at him with fear, realizing that theBradley she once loved was not the same man before her now.

The Bradley she had loved was elegant and noble, displaying grace in every gesture. The Bradleybefore her now held a hunting rifle, his eyes filled with killing intent. She couldn’t predict his next moveor when the rifle might be aimed at her head or heart.

“Did you attempt to escape?” he asked.

Esther shook her head, her voice trembling. “No, I didn’t. I never thought of it.”

Bradley placed the rifle’s muzzle under her chin, making her shiver with fear.

She felt a bullet might pierce her throat and embed itself in the wall at any moment.

“Really?”

Clutching her nightgown, Esther replied, “Really, I never did.”

After what felt like an eternity, Bradley lowered the rifle and extended his hand to Esther.

Puzzled, Esther looked at Bradley before placing her hand in his.

Bradley seemed satisfied with Esther’s response. He put his arm around her slender waist and liftedher out of the crystal coffin.

Once out, Esther smelled the strong stench of blood and nervously asked, “What are you going to do?”

Bradley held the rifle in one hand and Esther’s waist in the other. He domineeringly led her out of thebasement.

Having been confined in the basement for so long, Esther felt dizzy the moment she was suddenlyexposed to the brilliant sunlight again.

Instinctively, she raised her hand to shield her eyes from the sun and looked at Mike, who had falleninto a pool of blood in the distance.

Her heart skipped a beat.

“Mr. Warner… Mr. Warner…” Mike was on the brink of death and begged miserably. “I was wrong…”
