Chapter 613

Chapter 613

Bradley was not immediately taken back to the hospital room after he got out of the operating room.Instead, he had to be watched for 48 hours before moving to the hospital ward.

Knowing that Bradley would be furious if he discovered the secret liver transplant, Kevin stood besideBradley in sterile clothing. He needed to promptly explain the situation to avoid misunderstandingsabout Esther’s intentions.

Bradley slowly opened his eyes, still feeling groggy from anesthesia.

“Kevin!” Bradley called out through his oxygen mask, his voice full of frustration.

Kevin, occupied with work on his phone, jumped at Bradley’s angry voice and accidentally dropped hisphone.

“Bradley, you woke up earlier than expected?” Kevin hadn’t anticipated Bradley regainingconsciousness so soon.

“Explain.” Bradley’s voice seethed with anger.

Kevin felt like his heart was gripped by an invisible hand. He nervously replied, “You’ve just had a livertransplant…”

“Who gave permission…”

Kevin’s voice was raspy as he explained, “Your condition…”

“Where’s Esther?” Bradley said out through clenched teeth.

Kevin asked angrily, “Haven’t you figured it out? Esther agreed to Mr. Pendleton’s threat for your sake. You keep calling her terrible, but consider what she’s done for you. Doesn’t she deserve yourgratitude?”

“Leave!”

ו

Kevin replied, “I’ll go, Bradley. You don’t need to kick me out. But I’ve said what needed to be said.

“Take a good look at yourself and ask who would sacrifice so much for you. Besides Esther, who else?I’m done talking. I can’t control what you do or say. If you get too worked up and jeopardize yourrecovery, the surgery will be in vain. Esther’s sacrifice will be pointless. Take care of yourself!”

Having spoken his mind, Kevin left.

He knew Bradley’s temperament well-hot-tempered and proud. Bradley would never allow himself to bepitied.

“Monitor his condition closely, continue the medication, and only stop it once the post-op recovery isconfirmed to have no issues.”novelbin

Kevin knew he couldn’t let complications arise due to Bradley’s anger. The surgery would have beenfor naught. He couldn’t let that happen!

“But, Mr. Warner-”

Kevin rubbed his temples, saying, “I’ll bear all the consequences.”

While still under the effects of anesthesia and with additional medication, Bradley quickly fell back intoa deep sleep.
