Esther knew the blood on her face and body was a result of Bradley’s coughing fit. She didn’t wantFelix to associate her with any distressing memories, so she quietly complied. She swiftly returned tothe hospital room, changed her clothes, and tidied herself before rejoining Kevin.
“Felix, wait here for Daddy to come out. Mommy and Uncle Kevin need to talk.”

Esther and Kevin headed to the stairwell.
“Kevin, if Bradley doesn’t get the surgery…”
Kevin’s tone was heavy with pessimism. “Esther, mentally prepare yourself. If he doesn’t get thesurgery…”

Kevin slowly let go under Esther’s pleading gaze. “Keep me Informed about everything Mr. Pendletondoes or says. We’ll find a solution together. Bradley will make it, I promise.”

Esther grabbed her phone and headed to the elevator.
As she reached the garden, the elderly couple, left there by their bodyguards, rushed toward her andknelt before her, desperate.
“Miss, please save our daughter with a liver transplant!”
