The man pulled a candy from his suit pocket, used one hand to hold Esther’s chin, and roughly stuffedit into her mouth.
Esther instinctively knew that whatever the man was giving her was not something good. She used hertongue to press against her palate, trying to prevent the candy from entering her body.
