The driver did not even take the fare and just left without a word. He even shared the news of Bradley’sintention to appeal the divorce on the taxi drivers’ radio channel.

Bradley had never been angered like this before. How dare a mere driver mock him like that?

He sat at the bus stop, watching the bustling morning crowd.

A couple selling breakfast was busy behind the bus stop. Whenever they had a break, the man madesure the woman sat down to rest.

Across the street, a young couple held hands with their young daughter.

Suddenly, Bradley remembered that he and Esther had done the same thing with Felix. His gazeinvoluntarily softened as he watched the family of three disappear around the corner.

“Mister.” A little girl with two braids approached Bradley. Her eyes were like the purest pieces of glassin the world. “Please have some candy.”

The adorable little girl handed Bradley a lollipop and said, “Mommy says, if life is too bitter, you can addsome sugar!”

Seeing that Bradley did not open the wrapper, the girl asked curiously, “You don’t like mango flavor? Ialso have orange, strawberry, and watermelon flavors, Mister.”

Bradley looked at the pink rabbit-shaped lollipop in his hand and said softly, “Thank you, I really like it.Little one, do you have any wishes?”

The little girl looked at her mother not far away, then whispered next to Bradley’s ear, “I hope Mommyand I can have our own home.”

“Sweetheart, the bus is here,” the little girl’s mother called out.

The little girl sweetly replied, “Your sweetheart’s coming, Mommy!”

The little girl dashed into the arms of a young woman a short distance away. Before she got on the bus,she waved at Bradley, ” Goodbye, Mister!”

Bradley clutched the lollipop, his face expressing wordless sorrow. He sat at the bus stop, undoubtedlygood-looking but radiating a sense of loneliness as if the world had turned its back on him.

He could not help but think about his missing daughter. What if he had not been so conceited andheartless back then? Would their daughters have grown up like this?

An agonizing pain spread through Bradley’s heart. It felt as if invisible hands were tightly gripping hisheart, tearing it into countless pieces.

The pain from his heart spread to his brain, and a sharp ringing pierced his mind, causing a throbbingheadache as if a heavy object had hit his head.

A car horn sounded, and a Bentley pulled up in front of the bus stop where Bradley was.

“Mr. Warner, please get in the car. We can’t park here for too long…”

As Bradley stood up, his vision went black, and a metallic taste surged in his throat. He coughed upblood and collapsed….
