Chapter 494

Chapter 494

Although Oliver wasn’t sure exactly what Bradley knew, he fiercely protected Esther. “You don’t have toworry about other things, Warner. But don’t mess with the people I’m looking out for. If you push toohard, I won’t mind letting Felix inherit the Warner Group early.”

“Mr. Quill, are you threatening me?” Bradley’s eyes blazed with anger.

Oliver’s calm demeanor didn’t waver. “Think of it as a reminder.”

Bradley’s gaze fixed on Esther, who sat in a chair with Oliver and Jasper beside her. It felt like. he wastransported to the past, glimpsing the Esther from five years ago.

Back then, she hadn’t been as strong as she is now. All she had said in the courtroom was, “It wasn’tme!”

Today, she didn’t shed a single tear. Her eyes were as clear as the purest crystal.

“Esther, let me ask you one last time. Were you really not the one who removed my grandfather’soxygen mask?”

Bradley couldn’t say for certain whether he wanted Esther to be guilty or innocent. He only knew thatwhen Esther presented the video of Liliane removing Thomas’ oxygen mask, he felt a discreet sense ofrelief.

“Bradley, I’ve told you countless times that Liliane removed Grandpa Thomas’ oxygen mask. Have youforgotten?”

Esther was disappointed. When the filter of love shattered, she saw an incredibly real version ofBradley.

“So, what you said five years ago was true?” Bradley asked with a bitter taste in his mouth, feeling aconstant ache in his heart.

“Yes,” Esther replied honestly. “Everything I said was true.”

Bradley looked at Esther with a hint of confusion. “You didn’t betray me five years ago?”

Although Esther didn’t quite grasp why Bradley was asking these questions, she answered sincerely, “Ididn’t.”novelbin

Suddenly, Bradley felt a wave of unease wash over him as he gazed at Esther’s delicate face. Hebegan to realize how excessively he had treated Esther over the years.

If they were to divorce now, they would completely sever their ties forever!

Instantly, Bradley remembered Esther’s diary filled with her youthful dreams. He felt like someonedrowning, desperately reaching for the floating wood before him.

“Esther, must you divorce me?”

Esther knew that Felix was probably watching the livestream at this moment. She did not want her childto witness his parents tearing each other apart.

“Bradley, our marriage was a mistake in itself. Divorcing now is just correcting that mistake in time. After the divorce, you’ll still be Felix’s father, and I won’t stop Felix from meeting you.”

Bradley stared at Esther with an unreadable expression.

“Esther, let’s talk!”

Esther seemed distant as she said, “I don’t have anything to discuss with you.”

A dull ache gripped Bradley’s heart. He suddenly realized he had lost his hold over Esther. “Don’t youwant to learn about where our biological daughter is?” he asked.
