Chapter 465

Chapter 465

“Esther! Esther!” Jasper exclaimed in alarm, lifting Esther and rushing toward a nurse.

“Nurse, she fainted.”

The nurse called a doctor, who conducted a brief examination on Esther. “Draw some blood from herfirst.”

“Alright.”

As the nurse drew blood from Esther, the pain of the needle piercing her skin woke her slightlyfurrowed her brow and whimpered before slowly opening her eyes.

After hesitating momentarily, she struggled to sit up, urgently saying, “I’m fine.”

1. She

“Esther, you fainted.” Jasper held Esther’s shoulder, gently reminding her, “They’re drawing blood.Don’t move.”

Teardrops welled up in the corner of Esther’s reddened eyes and slowly trickled down. She looked atJasper and fearfully asked, “Jasper, Felix… He will be okay, right?”

“Yes, he will be fine. You have to believe that nothing bad will happen to him,” he reassured

her.

Esther painfully echoed, “Yes, nothing bad will happen.”

She had a difficult childbirth in prison back then, but the triplets had turned out fine. Now, how couldsomething happen to Felix? Her children were the most precious gifts God had gifted her. They surelywould be safe.

After drawing the blood, the nurse applied a cotton swab to the puncture site, mainly concerned thatany movement from Esther might worsen the bleeding.

“Press here for a moment. You might need to eat something if it’s low blood sugar.”

“Alright, thank you.”

With Jasper supporting her, Esther slowly returned outside the operating room.

Bradley was sitting on the bench. Seeing Esther’s pale face, he said indifferently, “Esther, if it weren’tfor you, Felix wouldn’t have ended up like this.”

Esther sat across from Bradley with a cold expression. She did not utter a single word even when sheheard his voice. At this point, she was physically and mentally exhausted and did not want to waste anyenergy on Bradley.

“Bradley, a critical condition notice has been issued for Felix, and Esther fainted. Is it

meaningful for you to be here making sarcastic remarks?”

Bradley questioned icily, “This is a matter between my wife and me. What business is it of yours?”

Jasper was rendered speechless, not even bothering to argue.

“Bradley, either sit quietly and wait here, or leave!”

Esther looked at Bradley. Despite his face remaining as handsome as ever, his posture as

graceful and poised as before, she could no longer sense any emotional stirrings. All that remainedwere overwhelming exhaustion, pain, anger, resentment, and hatred.

In truth, Esther was well aware that she should not hate Bradley. How could one hate someone. theydid not love? If he were truly a stranger, why would she waste her energy on hating him? However, shecould not control it. She simply wished that Bradley would never appear before her again.

“Esther, the person in the operating room is my son. What right do you have to tell me to leave?”

As Oliver exited the elevator, he happened to hear Bradley’s words.
