Chapter 398

Chapter 398

Esther knew that Pixie had been adopted but didn’t know who the adoptive parents were.

It felt like she had entered a dead-end with no escape. She met cold walls in every direction she tried togo.

Anna gently patted Esther’s shoulder, explaining, “Officer, my friend traveled all the way from the otherside of the Earth to bring her daughter back home. The results of the two DNA tests are completelyopposite, making it hard for her to accept it immediately.”

She then suggested to the staff, “How about this? The officer and I will personally collect Pixie’s DNAsamples and have a professional institution conduct a new test if the result matches the previous one,Pixie is not my friend’s daughter, and she can resume her search for her biological child. What do youthink?”

The staff nodded. “I can take you to collect Pixie’s DNA sample, but Ms. Quill cannot go.

!!

‘She won’t go. I’ll go in her place.” Anna turned around and looked at Esther, who was full of despair.

“Esther, do you trust me?” she asked warmly.novelbin

Esther nodded, placing her trust in Anna. If the DNA test Anna personally collected confirmed the sameresult as this report, she would be convinced that Maria Church had not tampered with the test.

“Get in the car.” The police officer tilted his head, signaling Anna to get in.

Anna was about to leave, but Esther quickly took out her phone and showed her a photo of Tinkerbell.

“Anna, take a good look. This is Tinkerbell’s photo. Pixie and Tinkerbell are twins, and they look alike.”Esther could not help but make the worst speculation. They might be searching for the wrong person. The Pixie they sought and the one mentioned by the church might not be

the same.

“What if…”

Anna carefully examined the photo of Tinkerbell on Esther’s phone, then gently patted her shoulderand said, “Esther, wait for my news at the castle.”

“Okay.”

After Anna and the police officer left to collect Pixie’s DNA sample, Esther had to call a driver becauseher legs were too weak to drive. The fake DNA test result had left her feeling shaken.

Anna collected Pixie’s sample and sent it to a professional institution for DNA testing. The paymentwas made for an expedited test, ensuring results within 24 hours, and Anna would be informedpromptly.

“Esther,” Anna called out.

Esther quickly approached Anna, asking anxiously, “Anna, what’s the result? Is Pixie my daughter?”

Anna took out her phone and showed Esther a photo of herself with Pixie. “I took a photo with Pixie asa designer. She must be Tinkerbell’s twin sister.”

Esther looked at the photo of Pixie in Anna’s phone affectionately and asked with doubt, She’sobviously the one. Why are the DNA test results different?”

“Esther, the new DNA maternity test result will be available within 24 hours.” Anna sat across fromEsther and comforted her. “Pixie is being treated like a princess in her new home, with the best ofeverything. Her adoptive parents come from noble backgrounds, and she’s very happy there.”

“That’s great.” A sense of relief surged in Esther’s heart. What could make her happier than knowingthat Pixie was happy in her new parents’ home?

Anna hesitated for a moment and decided to share her guess.

“But I noticed another girl about the same age as Pixie in that family. She seems to have a heartcondition…” Anna paused halfway and shook her head, pushing away the almost absurd speculation inher mind. “It’s also possible that I’m overthinking it.”
