Liliane opened the message and found a link inside. Clicking on it, she was directed to a

website with a pure black background. Opium poppies slowly bloomed, giving off an eerie vibe. Theflowers seemed to be stained red with blood.

As Liliane watched the animation on her phone, her heart pounded rapidly until it finally ended.

“Ms. Anstey, do you need me to call a doctor?” the concerned caretaker asked.

Suppressing her fear, Liliane replied gently, “Yes, please.”novelbin

She refrained from exploring the mysterious link further. Instead, she pondered over the identity andintentions of the sender. After all the help they had given her, she wondered what they wanted in return.

Liliane took a deep breath, looked at the content again, and hesitated before finally clicking [ Join].

Upon clicking, the website closed automatically.

Liliane tried to access the link from the message again, but her phone screen displayed [404]. It all felttoo mysterious!

Later, Scott visited Liliane in the ward and found her in good spirits. Professionally, he inquired, “Ms.Anstey, do you feel any discomfort?”

Liliane shook her head and replied, “No.”

Scott examined her and declared, “The surgery was very successful. Congratulations.”

“Thank you, doctor.”

Scott decided not to inform Liliane about the heart transplant from her father.

Liliane remained in the hospital for a few more days until she recovered. She then went to the mortuaryto bid farewell to Billy. As he had signed an organ donation agreement, his organs. were transplantedto those in need.

Liliane arranged for the funeral home to take Billy’s body away, but unexpectedly, someone stoppedher.

Liliane looked at the stranger in surprise. “Why can’t I take my father away?”

“Because there are suspicions about his cause of death,” the investigator replied.

Liliane’s heart sank. “You suspect my father’s cause of death?”

“Yes, Ms. Anstey, please cooperate with our investigation.”

Liliane tried to figure out who this person could be. She speculated they might be a relative from theAnstey family. With Billy gone, the issue of asset distribution would soon arise, making her a potentialsuspect.
