Chapter 353

Chapter 353

Upon hearing that, Esther quickly asked, “Can you help me investigate this matter?”

“Of course I can,” Jasper replied.

After pondering for a moment, Jasper continued. “Initially, Mr. Anstey wanted to sue Liliane to reclaimthe dowry she received. But now that he’s deceased, the lawsuit has come to a halt, and Liliane hasgained full control of his wealth.”

“I’m still legally the Ansteys’ adoptive daughter. Do you think I can take over his lawsuit?”

Esther took a deep breath. In truth, she had no interest in the Ansteys’ wealth. However, she couldn’tbear to see Liliane easily obtain all that money.

“I believe so, but we should consult a lawyer to be sure,” Jasper said.

Speaking in a serious tone, Jasper added, “I will call you back once I have heard from the lawyer.Meanwhile, Esther, you must be cautious. Don’t easily trust others. If anyone claims you should returnto the country using my name, don’t believe them.”

“What’s going on?” Esther asked.novelbin

She sensed Jasper’s anxiety and unease. Initially, she had thought Bradley would target Jasper nowthat she was gone.

“Bradley has offered a substantial bounty for your return, and I’m concerned that someone mightattempt something deceitful for the prize money.”

Esther was taken aback. “What do you mean, a bounty?”

“Search for Bradley’s Twitter account, and you’ll understand,” Jasper advised.

Jasper emphasized once again. “Do not trust anyone, especially those who approach you using myname. Your escape has wounded Bradley’s pride, and I fear he may resort to harmful actions againstyou.”

“He hasn’t done anything to you or the Searles, has he?” Esther asked worriedly, as she didn’t wantBradley to target the innocent Searle Group because of her.

“No, he hasn’t. Don’t worry. The Searle Group is not the kind of company Bradley can easily dismantle.Your focus now should be on finding Pixie. Leave the rest to me.”

Esther desperately wanted to know the details of the bounty Bradley had placed on her, but Jasperdidn’t intend to continue the conversation.

He ended the call after conveying all the essential information.

Esther turned on her laptop and searched for Bradley’s name. To her surprise, news about himappeared at the top of the search results.

She was stunned when she saw the news about the bounty placed on her.

She hadn’t expected Bradley, a man driven by logic, to take such a step.

“Doesn’t he realize that the higher the bounty, the more danger I’ll be in?”

A cold chill ran down Esther’s spine, and she felt as though countless pairs of eyes were

staring directly at her from various locations.

Anna knocked on her door. “Esther, it’s almost lunchtime. Is there any food you don’t eat?”

“No,” Esther replied.

As Esther opened the door and Anna noticed her pale complexion, she asked with concern, Are youfeeling unwell, Esther?”

“No, I’m fine. I’m just disgusted by someone’s actions,” Esther weakly replied.

“What do you mean?” Anna inquired.

Leaning against the door, Esther spoke slowly. “Bradley has offered a substantial bounty on me, hopingto force me to return.”

“Is he crazy?” Anna couldn’t believe her ears.

Shaken, Anna added, “Doesn’t he realize that the higher the bounty, the more danger you’ll be in?”

“Perhaps he does realize but doesn’t care,” Esther said with bitterness.

The love she once felt for Bradley had turned into endless fear and terror.
