Chapter 288

Chapter 288

Despite that, Esther took advantage of his moment of softness and desired to take Felix away from himforever. She had repeatedly betrayed his trust and crossed his boundaries time and time again. Such aperson no longer deserved his affection.

“I hope you won’t regret this in the future,” Clark said.

As Clark turned to leave, Bradley suddenly called out, “Clark, have someone weld shut all the windowsand doors in her room.”novelbin

Clark was at a loss for words.

Was this something a person should do?

After Bradley took Esther away again, Billy felt both anxious and furious. However, he felt helpless ashe was alone and unable to challenge Bradley’s immense power. He called the people from theworkshop to move his car and repeatedly dialed Jasper’s number.

After 30 attempts, Jasper finally answered the call.

“Mr. Anstey?”

Billy’s voice trembled with relief upon hearing Jasper’s voice. He took a deep breath and said earnestly,Mr. Searle, where are you right now? Can we meet?”

“Mr. Anstey, I’m currently overseas. Is there something you need?”

Billy saw Jasper as a potential force against Bradley. He replied anxiously, “Bradley has imprisonedEsther!”

“What? Imprisoned?” Jasper exclaimed in disbelief, “Why would Bradley do such a thing?”

Billy sighed helplessly. “It’s a long story. Mr. Searle, I called you because I wanted to ask if you couldhelp us find a way to rescue Esther from Bradley.”

“I’ll take the next flight back and contact you once I land.”

“Okay… Okay.”

Although Billy wasn’t sure if Jasper would be able to help rescue Esther from Bradley, having one moreperson meant having one more source of strength. As far as Billy knew, since Esther’s accident fiveyears ago, everyone had distanced themselves from her. Jasper was the only one who had beenvisiting and sending her things.

Eight hours later, Billy met Jasper in his office.

“Mr. Anstey, please have some coffee.”

Billy couldn’t bring himself to drink the coffee when he thought of Esther. He waved his hand andurgently explained, “When I went to Warner Manor today, I discovered that Bradley had chained Estherup with iron chains.

“Mr. Searle, even if Esther was responsible for what happened five years ago, she has already spentfive years in prison and has given birth to Bradley’s children. It’s time to move on from this terriblemistake. The law has shown leniency toward her, so why does Bradley continue to treat her this way?”

Jasper’s handsome face darkened, and he pondered for a moment before asking, “What does Estherwant? Does she want to leave Bradley?”

“Yes! She wants to!” Billy covered his face with both hands, speaking in anguish. “But Warner Manor isso big, with so many bodyguards and servants. Where can she escape to? Mr. Searle, can you think ofa solution? Let’s save Esther. She’s still so young. Her life shouldn’t be controlled by Bradley forever.”

Jasper rubbed his temples and replied calmly, “Actually, I heard about the incident involving Esther andFelix while I was abroad. But I never expected Bradley to take his anger out on her. Mr. Anstey, I’m abachelor. If I were to go to Warner Manor, Bradley might not let me see Esther…”

Billy asked anxiously, “Then what should we do? Just let Bradley continue to mistreat Esther?”

“Do you think Esther has any female friends? If it’s a female friend visiting her, Bradley probably won’tobject.”

Upon hearing this, Billy grew even more perplexed and said, “After the incident five years ago, Estherdoesn’t have any friends besides you.”

Jasper subtly suggested, “I remember that before Esther was discharged from the hospital, Bradleyassigned her a psychologist. How about we seek her help?”
