Chapter 277

Chapter 277

Billy, played by Leah, witnessed her unrestrained animosity toward him, revealing her maliciousintentions without restraint.

“You’re truly laughable. Did you actually think that the deaths of those two old folks were mereaccidents all this time?”

Billy never imagined Leah could be so vile. Ignoring his own image, he angrily raised his hand andslapped Leah across the face.

“Leah Walpole, do you even possess a shred of humanity? Hadn’t my parents been treating you wellsince we got married, despite their opposing opinions before our marriage? If only you had an ounce ofconscience…”

Leah stuck out her tongue and licked the blood at the corner of her mouth. She viciously retorted, “Ifthey truly treated me well, would they have secretly conducted a DNA paternity. test behind my back?novelbin

“They even said that if I agreed to give birth to a second child for you, they wouldn’t pursue the matterregarding Liliane. They even claimed that the Anstey Group would belong to my son if we had asecond child. Tell me, why should I bear a second child with you? Are you even worthy?”

Billy never considered the extent of his parents’ actions behind his back. Suddenly, he felt like aninadequate son-a completely unfilial child. His parents would still be alive and well if it weren’t for hisfoolishness and falling into Leah’s clutches.

“Leah, I’m unworthy? Would you have chosen me if I were unworthy?” Billy trembled with rage. Hepointed a finger at her face and fiercely questioned, “Have I disrespected your ancestors? Is that whyyou treat me this way?”

Leah looked at Billy, consumed by remorse, with a mocking smile and taunted, “Anstey, your parentswere quite entertaining. Why would I need a second child if I wanted the Anstey Group? Once I got ridof them and then you, I’d become the company’s true owner whenever I pleased.”

Regrettably… Leah thought with great pity. If only she had killed Billy sooner… She shouldn’t havethought that Liliane would face ridicule without a father.

“Heh…” Billy couldn’t be bothered to say another word to Leah. An abominable woman like her didn’tdeserve his attention.

“You… Good luck.”

Billy sought a lawyer to handle the shares of the Anstey Group and hired a private detective toinvestigate his parents’ cause of death. He needed enough evidence to ensure that Leah would spendthe rest of her life in prison.

Billy realized that he had been ruthlessly deceived by Leah and Liliane all these years. He evenreflected on how he had repeatedly hurt and neglected Esther for the sake of Liliane, believing thelatter to be his biological daughter while seeing Esther as just an adopted child.

Billy now understood how terribly wrong he had been. Filled with revenge in his heart, he headedstraight to the hospital after his rage toward Leah.

Scott, the skilled cardiac surgeon, had once again saved Liliane from the clutches of death as hercondition worsened.

Liliane lay in the hospital bed, clearly feeling the discomfort in her body. Overwhelmed by grief, sheheld her chest and thought, ‘What should I do? Will I really die if there isn’t a suitable heart fortransplantation?’

No! She didn’t want to die!

She wanted to live.

Who would save her? Who would come to her rescue?
