Chapter 267

Esther’s words instantly angered Jessica, fueling her rage.

Jessica stormed over to Shane, her eyes burning with fury, and bombarded him with intense questions. Her voice was hoarse and filled with emotion as she unleashed her frustration. Shane Hoyer, howmany sinful things have you done behind our backs all these years? How could you…”

Regret washed over Shane. He realized that he should have sent their son abroad earlier. If he had, atleast they wouldn’t have found themselves in this situation.

While observing Shane’s silence, Jessica’s anger intensified. She forcefully slapped Shane’s arm anddemanded, her voice strained, “Shane, are you mute now? Speak up! Say something!” Shane’s gloomyand calm gaze shifted toward their suspended young boy. That was their son, a child who embodiedthe best qualities of both parents.

Yes, they could have another son in the future, but… he wouldn’t be the same as Ben. He wouldn’tpossess the same level of sensibility, obedience, and ambition. This child had never caused him anyworry throughout his upbringing, and Shane had always been proud of him.

“Mr. Warner, this is an issue between adults. Please spare my son,” Shane pleaded, disregardingEsther’s presence.

In his eyes, Esther was docile and harmless. He had only come here today because Bradley had takenhis son. If it weren’t for that, why would he risk losing everything?

“Shane, I’ll release your son when you find mine,” Bradley stated calmly, rising from his seat andpositioning himself behind Esther.

His expression was cold and sinister, his words sending shivers down the spines of those. present. “Ifyou fail to return my son, as my wife mentioned, your son will pay for the blood. debt.”

Bradley’s voice exuded a chilling and murderous intent devoid of any warmth.

Jessica dropped to her knees with a thud, fearing that Shane would truly provoke Bradley and Esther.

“Mr. Warner, Mrs. Warner, it’s our fault as adults. If you seek revenge, direct it toward me, I beg you… Iimplore you to spare my son.”

Tears streamed down Jessica’s face as she gazed at her son. She had been unaware of Shane’sactions all these years. He had concealed them so well that even she, just like their son, believedShane to be an honest and kind person.

Only tonight did she discover Shane’s plans to forcibly extract the heart of a living person. Even if itwas for his illegitimate daughter, she couldn’t accept it. That was a living person’s heart! How could hebe so cruel and heartless? How could he disregard the law in such a manner?

Shane currently held the director position at the prison hospital, but he had started as a regular doctor, gradually ascending to his current role. When he entered the medical profession, he had sworn todedicate his life to saving lives and aiding the injured. How could he… How could he…novelbin

“Mrs. Hoyer, is your son’s life more valuable than my son’s life?” Esther retrieved her phone anddisplayed photos of Felix. They depicted him making ravioli, tending to flowers, and

studying diligently….

Each photo showcased an adorable and well-behaved Felix. Anyone who saw such images wouldadore and desire such a lovely child.

Yet… her son was gone!
