Chapter 174

“What a coincidence, me too.”

Two stunning beauties sat quietly on the bench, admiring the blooming flowers in the distance. A gentlebreeze brushed past, causing the flowers to sway and releasing a delicate floral scent into the air.

“Shall we have lunch together?”

“Do you want to grab lunch together?”novelbin

Simultaneously, they spoke and exchanged smiles upon hearing each other’s words.

“Should we exchange numbers first?”

“Of course.”

Esther agreed, and Xara checked the time on her phone. “I still have a patient. It should be finished by11: 30 a.m. Meet me in the garden, and we can decide where to have lunch.”

“Okay.”

Little did Esther know that she would forge a precious and genuine friendship with Xara during thistime.

In the hospital, Wilson and others were working tirelessly to save Liliane.

Upon learning about Liliane’s condition, Bradley promptly arranged for Scott, a doctor from his hospital,to assist in the rescue efforts.

Scott swiftly entered the operating room and joined Wilson in the mission to save Liliane’s life.

Leah stood anxiously outside the operating room, overwhelmed by feelings of nervousness, fear, andpanic. Negative emotions swarmed her heart like ants, gnawing at her from within.

“Liliane’s condition has suddenly deteriorated…”

A hidden ruthlessness flickered in her eyes as Leah absorbed the caregiver’s words. She couldn’t helpbut blame everything on Bradley. In her mind, he was the source of all the misfortune.

If…

If… If something happened to Liliane, she would make Bradley pay for it. No, she would makeeveryone else pay for it too. She wanted everyone to accompany her daughter in death.

Filled with sorrow, Leah knelt before Bradley and pleaded, “Mr. Warner, I have only Liliane as mydaughter. Regardless of the circumstances, I want to grant her wish. Can you… Can you marry her inthree days?”

“No.”

Bradley’s response was resolute, without any hesitation. If he had to choose between hurting Estherand hurting Liliane, he would choose to hurt Liliane. Not only because Esther had saved his life whenhe was a child but also because Esther was currently ill.

Leah questioned in shock, “Why? Didn’t you promise to marry her? Why are you going back on yourword?”

Bradley paid no attention to Leah’s kneeling posture and calmly sat on a bench. His voice wasdetached as he explained, “Five years ago, when you took $15,000,000 and left, I declared that we hadno further

connection.

“Four years ago, when you brought Felix to my doorstep, I made it clear that I would only acknowledge

2/2

Felix and not marry her. You agreed to that as well.

“And now, you’re pressuring me for marriage? Do you believe that now, with Felix in the picture, youhave something to hold over me?”

Bradley’s words dripped with venom, revealing his icy and heartless nature.

Leah finally realized that the man standing before her had no compassion.

Five years ago, he had willingly sent the pregnant Esther to prison!

And now, five years later, he could witness the death of his own daughter without remorse!

Hatred surged within Leah like tidal waves, but she suppressed her anger and pleaded meekly, “Mr.Warner, could you please consider having a pretend wedding with Liliane and fulfill her dream?”
