Scenes of being beaten and bullied flashed through Esther’s mind. In that instant, her head throbbedwith pain. She held her head and sat under the shower head.
Ice-cold water flowed out of the shower head.
Like a person on the verge of death, Esther sat panting for cold air under the water. A shadow of painflickered in her shining eyes that were like a cluster of stars.
