Just when even Kayson thought that nothing would go wrong, a voice spoke up abruptly.

“$35,000,000!”

The few people Nigel had arranged looked over in shock. Sadie panicked inwardly as well.

“How could this happen... It‘s exceeded the base price!”

Kayson could not help frowning. Was this Nigel‘s setup? It seemed impossible!

Sadie gnashed her teeth and made another bid. “$ 36,000,000!”

“$42,000,000!”

The middle–aged man with his hair gelled back seemed to have scoffed before making his bid.

Kayson was sure that the man was not part of Nigel‘s plan now, so it meant that he was simply atroublemaker.

Sadie was pale. $42,000,000 had already exceeded her budget.

Kayson pulled out his phone to ask Royce who the man was, only for the latter and Beckham‘s texts tocome one after another. He read the texts with furrowed brows. Eddy Perez? He had some impressionof him!

Sadie stared at the stage in a daze looking disappointed and sullen. Kayson sighed at the sight andtook her bidding card to raise it. “$56,000,000.”

Shocked, Sadie grabbed the card. “What are you doing...”

She had already given up since she was unable to direct too much money from the company to investin Dickinson International. If it was an additional $

2,000,000 or $3,000,000, she could fight for it but exceeding it by tens of millions was already out ofher capability.

Eddy snorted inwardly and felt wealthy.“$70,000,000!”

Kayson told her in a hushed tone, “We aren‘t letting him have it easy even when we can‘t get theproject. Don‘t worry, Ms. Wolfenden, I know what I‘m doing.”

Sadie understood what Kayson wanted to do, but she was still immensely worried. “What if hesuddenly stops bidding?”

“Impossible. I know where to draw the line.” Kayson smiled. He had his darksoul, so he was able tosense Eddy‘s emotions clearly.

Sadie wanted to vent her frustration too, but it was more important that she would not be able to affordthe consequences of exceeding the limit should they fail.

“$85,000,000!” Kayson raised the bidding card again.

Eddy was not backing down. “$100,000,000!”

He had the Osborns, Wolfendens, Millers, Friths, and Soulspring Pharmaceutical behind him! It felt likea joke to contest his wealth – he was the richest man in Skyriv today!

Kayson frowned when he felt the raging confidence in Eddy‘s emotions, so he stopped after raising thebid to $ 140,000,000

Eddy ultimately won Dickinson International with $ 155,000,000, and the outcome baffled even theauctioning staff. How could Dickinson International possibly be worth so much?

As for the other projects, Sadie was completely unable to bid on projects worth $42,000,000 andabove, so she could only watch from the side.

Sadie went back to her room glumly, probably to call Liam and tell him about the situation, whileKayson left the villa with his brows knitted in a deep frown.

Gael appeared before him. “Who angered you, sir?”novelbin

“Gael, keep Ms. Wolfenden safe. I‘m heading out for a bit,” Kayson told him.

“Sure!” Gael nodded.

Kayson took a cab to go straight to the Tinsleys.

At Waylon‘s office...

Taylor was currently sitting across from Waylon. Waylon had just arrived at his office today when Taylorcame for a visit soon after. The man had said that he was here for a drink, and Waylon could notpossibly turn him away.

Taylor was a patrol from Eternalporium . Waylon had to treat him properly, regardless. He just did notunderstand

why Taylor would visit him so suddenly. After all, he had bruised the man‘s ego the night beforeyesterday.

Taylor chatted with Waylon casually, and a few hours flew past. When it was around lunchtime, Taylorsuddenly got up to bid goodbye.

An ominous feeling filled Waylon when he caught the delight in Taylor‘s eyes, but his face only fell afterthe latter left

Swenson appeared in time with a grim expression.

“He was stalling for time.”

Waylon shook his head. “No, his main purpose was to stall me so I‘d be occupied... Is there anythingparticular going on today?”

Swenson shook his head. None that he knew of.

Waylon racked his brain with a frown until his phone

“It‘s from Seth?”

The moment he answered, Seth spoke immediately. “Mr. Pattingson, Dickinson International‘s gone tothe Millers.”

Waylon froze before he was struck with realization!

“It‘s Taylor Yost!”

Waylon scowled. It was just a Dickinson International project, but Taylor insisted on rubbing it in hisface.

“Can you brief me about what actually happened, Mr. Jackson?”

Seth told him about the bidding, and Waylon replied calmly, “Looks like Mr. Jackson has takenKayson‘s side. This is not what I expected.”

Seth chuckled. “Please keep it a secret, Mr. Pattingson.”

After they ended their conversation, Swenson asked, “ What do you plan to do?”

Waylon answered flatly, “What else can I do? The favor I owe Kayson isn‘t returned if this isn‘tresolved. I can only try and repay this favor!”

He had already taken the initiative to draw the line with Kayson, but Taylor had to make his life difficult.In that case, he could not be blamed!

When Kayson went to the Tinsleys, Jeremy had found out

about the bidding outcome and rushed home.

“I‘m surprised there‘s still an accident when Mr. Pattingson‘s already involved,” said Jeremy. “Kayson,do you want to get in touch with him?”

Kayson shook his head. “No need. Let‘s try keeping him out of this if I can take care of it.”

Jeremy paused but said nothing more.

“Uncle Jeremy, I want all the information on the Perezs and Eddy Perez‘s particulars, down to thedetails of even how many lovers he has,” said Kayson.
