Chapter 820 Nigel’s expression was calm, and he did not appear to vent his anger on Sadie.

“Ms. Wolfenden , let’s part ways after this meal, and we shall never cross paths again. I’ve alreadydone everything that I can within my capability by coming to this appointment tonight.”

Sadie cracked a smile so forceful that it was a hideous smile.

She calmed herself with great effort and said, “Mr. Jackson, I’m still very grateful for everything you didregardless. We must enjoy a good feast tonight.”

Nigel nodded insincerely. He could not possibly not eat anything since he was here in person.

The meal was carried out in a rather tense ambiance as Sadie and Nigel were not in the mood to chatleisurely.

Both of them finished the meal quickly, and Nigel got up in preparation to leave because they were notin the mood to chat.

Sadie wanted to send Nigel off, so she got up and sent Nigel to the door while Kayson followed afterher.

They headed downstairs, yet they bumped into a group of people around the corner.

The leader of the group was a middle-aged man about Nigel’s age. He expressed his astonishment fora brief moment after seeing Nigel, but his gaze was filled with banter and contempt the next moment.

“Isn’t this my previous superior Jensen? I didn’t expect that I’d still bump into you here!”

Nigel’s body tensed up, and his expression was slightly unpleasant. “Gibson…” Gibson Fisher sneered.“Where are your manners? Jensen, it has only been a few days. Have you forgotten about how you’re

supposed to address me?”

“If it’s related to projects, you can come to me. I’ll always help ambitious women like you willingly.

“What do you think? Do you need my help? If you need, you can reach out to me. I’ll help to resolveyour issue if

you can keep me entertained with a good night of drinking.”

Sadie maintained her usual distant mannerism but spoke politely, “It’s fine, Mr. Fisher. I didn’t meet upwith Mr. Jensen to seek his assistance. We were only having dinner as friends.”

Gibson’s expression changed ever so slightly, and he let out a grunt.

“Nigel, I didn’t expect that you’d have such an understanding friend who still takes you seriously despiteyour recent abjection.”

Gibson mocked and teased Nigel, yet the latter did not have the courage to talk back despite his anger.Sadie said with a frown, “Mr. Fisher, even if you and Mr. Jensen share some past grudges, it’s not verynice of you to humiliate him like this under such circumstances,

Sadie appeared to be slightly angry, judging by her expression . Behind her, Kayson furrowed hiseyebrows and asked nonchalantly, “Is it you who took over Mr. Jensen’s position?”

Gibson raised an eyebrow. “I used to work under him, so

now that he has been transferred to another department, I’ve been promoted to his position. Do youhave a problem with that?”

Kayson said nonchalantly, “No problem with me. However, there’s something that I wish to understandmore.”
