“Have you all been here before?” Byron’s footsteps stopped under a big tree.

Rosalie also stopped and looked around before shaking her head. “No.”

The tree was at the edge of the woods. Yesterday, she was with the little ones in the woods and just bythe waterfall. They had never been to this exact spot at all.

Byron nodded clearly and motioned her to look under the tree.

Rosalie followed his line of sight and looked closely, only to see faint footprints under the tree. Itbelonged to an adult. As they followed the footprints to the edge of the lawn, they gradually got lighterand lighter.

There was no way they could know whether the owner of these footprints had ever been near the tent.One thing for certain was that besides Rosalie and the little ones, there was someone else hereyesterday.

Even when she was playing with the little ones, this person was always watching. For a moment,Rosalie shuddered in fear at that realization.

Byron concluded, “Someone was following you. Also, this person is very experienced.”

It seemed that the person had been hiding up in the tree.

‘Who is this person? And why would they follow Rosalie?’

Byron could not figure this out, so he asked directly, “Who do you think would target you like this?”

Rosalie frowned and shook her head. She could not think of anyone she had offended recently.

Rosalie subconsciously raised her eyes and looked at the man in front of her.

The answer in her heart might still be somewhat related to him.

“Why? Do you have an answer?” Byron’s eyes were always on her face. He did not miss the slightestchange in her gaze.

Rosalie was slightly startled, but she brushed off the strange feeling in her heart and shook her head asif it was nothing. “No.”

Before there was definite evidence, she did not want to falsely accuse anyone.

Byron looked at her deeply as he tried to find something in her expression.

‘This woman’s expression just now tells me that she’s thought of someone.

I don’t know why she won’t say it.’

The man’s steady eyes fell on her face.

Rosalie calmly lowered her eyes and avoided his gaze. “It’s time for US to go back. The kids arehungry.”

Byron nodded coolly and did not ask any further questions as he noticed she was not ready to saymore.

Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief and followed the man toward the tent.

“Until I find this person, I’ll arrange for someone to protect you,” he said while they were on the wayback.

Rosalie frowned and subconsciously wanted to refuse. She did not want to be under any surveillance.

‘However, come to think of it, it’s better to be openly surveilled by bodyguards than to be watched bythe person yesterday in the dark.’

Thinking of this, Rosalie agreed. “Thank you.”

“During this time, you should pay more attention to your surroundings. If you find anything unusual,contact me immediately.” Byron added.

Rosalie agreed once more.

Back at the tent, the little ones were not playing but sitting side-by-side, looking eagerly in the directionthe adults left.
