My Ex-Wife And Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball Chapter 726

Chapter 726 Can’t Forgive You

The next morning, Rosalie was having breakfast with the little guys before dropping them off at schoolwhen the doorbell rang abruptly.

Rosalie and the little guys exchanged glances when they heard the doorbell. They all immediatelythought of Byron and his daughter.

After all, Byron had been dropping by with his daughter around this time recently.

Rosalie did not think much of it as she got up to open the door.

However, when she opened the door, she was greeted by the sight of her best friend standing at thedoor with a panicked expression.

“What’s wrong?” Rosalie asked, a sinking feeling appearing in her heart.

When Mary looked over Rosalie’s shoulder and saw the two little guys still having their breakfast in thedining room, she frowned slightly as she pulled Rosalie out of the house.

Rosalie could tell she did not want the little guys to hear anything, thus she walked to the garden withher. “What’s wrong?”

“Did you read this morning’s news?” Mary asked in a solemn tone.

Rosalie shook her head blankly when she heard that.

Lisa had a family matter to attend to and could not make it to work for the week.

Rosalie had been busy preparing breakfast and watching the little guys have their breakfast thismorning, Hence, she had no time to watch the morning news.

The look on her best friend’s face told her something huge had happened.

Mary frowned slightly, unsure as to how she should bring things up.

“What on earth happened?” Rosalie could tell it was something to do with her when she saw the lookon Mary’s face. Her brows knitted themselves together as she said, “I’ll go back in and find out myself ifyou don’t tell me now.”

When Rosalie finished speaking, she turned to walk back in.

She had only taken two steps forward when Mary grabbed her.

“The media is saying that you went on a late-night date with Young Master Lancer and that you guyswere flirting with each other. They suspect that you were able to collaborate with the Lancer familybecause there was someone pulling strings for you behind the scenes.”

Mary was disgusted by that news and thus spoke so quickly that she sounded somewhat muffled.

However, Rosalie did not miss even a single word. A solemn look immediately appeared on her face.

A late-night date with Xander…

The only time Rosalie could think of was last night.

However, it had been a three-person meeting last night, so why were they saying it had only been thetwo of them?

A thought occurred to her while she was still trying to figure things out.

She and Xander had arrived late last night, but Stacy had taken even longer to arrive…

“Anyway, don’t go pick Lucian and Nox for the next two days. I’m worried there might be paparazzistaking out for you. Leave them to me. Also, don’t leave the house unless you need to,” Mary said witha solemn expression on her face.

Naturally, Rosalie knew how serious this was.

She might be innocent, but the media would not let her off their hook so easily.

Rosalie did not want issues pertaining only to herself to cause the little guys to feel worried andfrightened again.

Thus, Rosalie nodded without hesitation as she thanked her best friend. “Thank goodness you camehere just to let me know.”

Wendy said angrily, “I can’t believe they’re slandering a doctor as good as you! They’d better not let mefind out who did this, or I’ll never forgive them! ” 2

Rosalie gave her a comforting smile as the image of Stacy’s face appeared in her mind once more.

There was no other person she could think of other than Stacy.

However, she did not know if there was anyone else backing Stacy up.

Seeing that they were running out of time, the two walked back into the house.

Disappointed looks appeared on the little guys’ faces when they learned their godmother was droppingthem off at school again.

Rosalie could not tell them the truth and merely said, “I”m sorry, but I have some matters to take careof. I’ll make sure to drop you off and pick you up from school every day once I’m less busy.”

The little guys could tell their mom was not in the best mood, so they obediently nodded despite theirdisappointment.novelbin
