Chapter 57

Chapter 57 She Doesn‘t Need Your Gratitude

Hearing him mention their mommy, the two boys were instantly on their guards.

“Why are you looking for my mommy?!” Lucian stared at the man not far away alertly like a little dogthat would attack anytime.

Obviously, he had no attacking power, but he still had to put on a fierce appearance.

Byron was deeply aware of the little guy‘s hostility, and when he saw his alert appearance, he found itstrange but also funny. He did not take it seriously. He just said, “You‘ve taken care of Estie these twotimes. I need to offer my gratitude in person.”

Hearing this, Lucian breathed a sigh of relief internally, but his small face was still taut. “No need. Mymommy went to make a call, and she doesn‘t need your thanks.”

With that, he dragged Nox back to the carpet. He bowed his head and said to Estie, “Since your daddyhas come to pick you up, you can go back with him. Mommy has to go out to work in a while and won‘thave the time to accompany you.”

Estie was still immersed in the joy of the brothers speaking up for her. When she heard this, she slowlycame to her senses. Although she was reluctant, she nodded sensibly when she heard that thebeautiful lady still had to work. From the moment the man brought his mommy up, Lucian became veryvigilant toward him. He did not want this man to see his mommy at all.

Seeing that the little girl had agreed to leave with the man, Lucian hurriedly pulled Nox before theycrouched down and began to tidy up the Lego blocks. Byron noted that Estie had agreed to go backwith him and stopped pressing them, letting them clean up. After watching them for a bit, he found it alittle strange. When the three little ones huddled together, they looked somewhat similar in height.

On second thought, they were also in the same class in kindergarten.

In other words, their ages were not very different.

However, calculating the time, even if the woman had remarried immediately after giving birth to Estiethat year and then became pregnant and gave birth to these twins, there should still be some gapbetween Estie and them. Could it be that… boys grew faster? However, Rosalie had put them in thesame class as Estie. Was this also a coincidence?

Byron‘s heart was full of doubts.

He could not come up with an answer for a long time. Slowly retracting his gaze from the three, helooked at the immediate environment with a bored look.novelbin

Although it was only a temporary rental place, Rosalie had still decorated the villa somewhatthoughtfully.

At this moment, what caught Byron‘s eyes was the warm and tidy scene. Looking carefully, he couldalso see picture frames in many places.

Byron‘s eyes were slowly attracted to those picture frames. He walked to the picture frames and lookedat them carefully. After looking at them for a while, Byron‘s brows furrowed slightly. Without exception, only Rosalie and her two children‘s figures were in the series of photos. Although the three weresmiling very warmly, Byron kept feeling that there was something wrong. There was not even a figureof the children’s father to be seen in these photos.

Perhaps… he was the one who took those photos? There were so many photos, though. Did he notreveal his face at all? Just when Byron was confused, a burst of rapid footsteps came from the stairs.Byron came back to his senses suddenly. He put down the photo frame he was holding in his hand,

then turned around and walked to the carpet as if nothing had happened. On the stairs, Rosalie‘s stepswere hurried. She was almost trotting down the stairs, her face filled with panic.
