Chapter 495 The Name List Can’t Be Amended
Hearing Rosalie’s answer, the boys were even more careful. ” Mommy, will you still go, then?”
Rosalie could tell what the boys were thinking and shook her head helplessly.
They thought she would not be attending anymore and grabbed her clothes anxiously whilecomplaining in a whiny manner, ” Mommy, you promised US. You can’t go back on your word! If youdon’t want to talk to Uncle, we’ll help you stop him!”
Hearing this, Rosalie could not help but be amused. She touched the boys’ heads and comforted them.“Don’t worry, I won’t back out now since I already agreed to you two. Miss Leigh Ann has alreadydetermined the list as well, and I can’t possibly trouble her to change it.”
Hearing that their mommy would still be attending, the boys heaved a sigh of relief.
Rosalie thought of the person who was in the same group as them and felt a little heavy-hearted. “Doyou know the name of the stage play we’re going to do?” she asked the boys.
She heard from Miss Leigh Ann that the stage play each group would be performing this time wasdecided by the children themselves by casting lots. Hence, the boys likely already knew about it.
The moment she asked that, she saw Nox running to his schoolbag on his short legs. After diggingthrough it for a long time, he ran back with a small ball of paper.
It was obvious that this was the lot that the boys had pulled today.
Rosalie took a look at it, and when she saw the content in it, her face suddenly froze.
As if afraid that the children would not be able to understand the words, the title was written on the notewith each letter spaced out evenly—‘Sleeping Beauty’.
“Mommy, do you know what this story is about?” Nox stared at Rosalie curiously.
Rosalie did not have the habit of telling the boys bedtime stories, and since they were boys, Rosaliewould not tell them fairy tales about princes and princesses even when she occasionally did.
Hence, it was not surprising that they did not know the story.
Hearing the boy ask this now, Rosalie found herself struggling slightly to speak.
If it was Sleeping Beauty, only she and Byron could play the leading roles.
Thinking of the storyline for sleeping Beauty, Rosalie felt the turmoil in her heart.
If she had known that they would be playing Sleeping Beauty, Rosalie would not have promised theboys to participate in this event.
However, she could not back out now.
After contemplating for a bit, Rosalie said to the boys. “I need to make a call. Please be quiet.”
The boys nodded obediently.
Rosalie took out her mobile phone and called the principal.novelbin
Miss Leigh Ann had said that afternoon that if she wanted to change the list, she would have to look forthe principal. Rosalie was now very eager to change the group. Worst came to worse, she would befine with just a change of play.
She called the principal but was informed that the other end was engaged in a call.
Rosalie frowned and hung up the call. She was about to call again after waiting for a bit, but theprincipal had taken the initiative to call her back. “Miss Jacobs, is something wrong?”
Rosalie said apologetically, “I apologize for calling you so late. I wanted to ask if the name list for theanniversary celebration can still be revised?”
On the other end, the principal felt guilty, but his tone was one of perplexion. “As you know, thesituation with our kindergarten is special. The parents are all busy people. This list was finally decidedon after much coordination. If we were to change it, it would take US who knows how long to contactthe other parents. The cost is just too high. Moreover, the anniversary celebration event will start nextweek. If we revise the list now, I’m afraid that we won’t have enough time for rehearsals, which wouldaffect the final result.”
