Chapter 467

Chapter 467 Won’t Drag Anyone Down

After the explanation ended and the room became quiet, Lucius immediately approached Xander quietly.“Young Master Lancer, when will the free consultation start?”

Xander took a quick look at the time and answered slowly, “Soon. Just wait for a bit. They’re doing thepreparations outside.”

Lucius nodded and stole a strange glance at Rosalie then turned to Xander again. “I assume theworkload on our side will be quite heavy today. Do you think we need to request one or two more doctorsfrom the other rooms?”

Hearing this, Rosalie and the rest looked at him in confusion as they did not understand why he wouldpropose such a request.

Xander even asked him directly, “Why do you say so, Dr. Rand? Do you think we won’t be able to handlethe kids?”

Lucius waved his hand. “We have four doctors here, of course, that’s enough, but… I’m just worried thatwe might miss out on anything during the examinations and mistakes are made.”

He hinted at Rosalie as he spoke.

It was obvious that he assumed Rosalie was not qualified enough.

Rosalie noticed his dissatisfaction with her, but she was confused.

‘I don’t even know this guy, why is he so hostile toward me…”

She was not bothered about the others suspecting her professionality, but she felt that it wasinappropriate to act like this on such an occasion.

Xander looked in the direction where Lucius was hinting and immediately looked back at him, saying withan indifferent tone, “ Dr. Rand, are you implying that there’s someone among US who isn’t qualifiedenough?”novelbin

Lucius smiled without saying a word, a tacit agreement with Xander’s statement.

Xander raised his brows and looked at Rosalie.

Although he also had doubts about her skills, he still believed in Old Master Quirke and Quentin. Theywould not recommend an average doctor to the Lancer family.

However, such a level of trust was still insufficient for him to speak up for her.

Leon frowned after witnessing such a scene. “Dr. Rand, now is the critical moment for the free clinic. Please don’t affect the mentality of others here. Regarding whether or not there’s someone unqualifiedamong US, you’ll naturally witness everything for yourself during the diagnosis and treatment.”

A trace of shock flashed through his eyes as Lucius did not expect Leon to speak up for the woman. Hethen looked at the three of them awkwardly.

Leon’s statement spoke for itself.

The expressions of the three darkened.

Xander frowned slightly but did not display his anger for the sake of maintaining his family’s image.

Rosalie, on the other hand, could not bear it and walked toward Lucius before saying coldly, “Dr. Rand,I’ve never met you in person before, but I can totally understand if you have doubts about my skills sinceyou’re more experienced than I am. Even so, you’re crossing the line by acting like this!”

Lucius did not expect this lady to be so strong-headed and swallowed back whatever he wanted to saybefore this.

“Regarding the concerns you raised just now, I can also tell you clearly that I won’t drag anyone down. IfI show even the slightest unprofessionalism, you can raise the issue at any time and I’ll withdrawvoluntarily. The free clinic is for children, and I won’t make light of the matters pertaining to the children’shealth!” Rosalie stood opposite Lucius with a stern expression.

Lucius’ arrogance was reduced by quite a lot, and he sounded more hesitant. “Since you’ve said so, ifanything happens later—”

Leon’s gentle voice sounded before Lucius could finish his words. “ I’ll handle it if a problem occurs. Justmind your own business, Dr. Rand.”
