Chapter 458

Chapter 458 You Sent Someone To Surveil Me

Seeing Rosalie leave just like that, Byron’s eyes darkened, but he stood up as if nothing hadhappened, “old Master Quirke, I suddenly remember that there’s still some unfinished business at thecompany. I’m at ease now that I know you’re recovering well. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be taking myleave.”

Old Master Quirke frowned slightly. Did Byron not just tell him that he was free for these two days? Why did he suddenly have work to do?

However, when he thought about how Byron was carrying the burden of the entire Lawrence family onhis shoulders, it was somewhat understandable.

“I was going to ask you to stay for a meal, but since you have matters to attend to, I won’t keep you anylonger. The company is important, so go quickly.” old Master Quirke then urged earnestly, saying,“Remember to rest and don’t overwork yourself. ”

Byron promised to do so, then got up and left.

Seeing his friend’s attitude, Andrius quickly got up and followed after him. “I’ll send you off!”

The two walked to the entrance of the villa, one behind the other. Once they were there, they caughtsight of Rosalie who was about to reach the manor gates.

Andrius was about to say something, but he was cut off by Byron’s words.

“I know what you’re going to say. I’ll keep it in mind.”

After saying that, Byron strode off without waiting for Andrius’ reply.

Seeing the distance between the two growing smaller and smaller, Andrius could only sigh helplessly.novelbin

At the gates of the manor, Rosalie was waiting for the servant to open the gates for her. Suddenly, sheheard footsteps behind her and turned around subconsciously.

Her eyes met Byron’s cold gaze.

Rosalie was frozen for a moment as they stared at each other. After coming back to her senses, shetook a step to the side and gave him a slight nod as a greeting.

There was still some distance between the two of them, but it almost felt like she was being envelopedby the tense aura radiating from the man.

Rosalie silently clenched her fist to calm herself down.

As long as she could walk out of this gate, she could get into her car and leave without having to facethis man again.

What she did not account for was that Byron did not plan to let her go that easily.

Seeing the gates slowly opening, Rosalie’s eyes lit up. she quickly moved her feet to leave.

The moment she took a step, however, a large hand grabbed her by the wrist. “Are you trying to avoidme that badly, Miss Jacobs?”

Byron’s voice, laced with a hint of anger, sounded in her ears.

Rosalie’s face stiffened slightly at those words. She stopped and turned back to look at him. “If there’ssomething you’d like to discuss, President Lawrence, I can discuss it with you, but please let go of me.”

She forcibly tugged at her arm twice as she said that.

Rosalie really did not want to cause a commotion while at someone else’s house, let alone cause amisunderstanding.

However, the grip on her wrist did not loosen and instead tightened.

“Do you really intend to let Young Master Leon be the father of Lucian and Nox?” Byron’s tone wasfrighteningly hostile.

Dumbstruck by the absolutely absurd question, Rosalie just stared at that incomprehensible manstanding before her. “As I’ve said before, Leon and I are just friends, so please refrain from makingsuch unfounded speculations!”

Byron sneered coldly. “Unfounded? With the way you wear Young Master Leon’s clothes so naturally, what more proof would I need? When Old Master Quirke mentioned Young Master Leon just now, youdidn’t deny anything, did you?”

Rosalie was shocked.

When did she ever wear Leon’s clothes?

The only instance that could barely be considered her wearing Leon’s clothes would be the last time ins City when Leon had noticed that she was cold and draped a coat over her.

When it happened, it had already been a while since Byron left them. How did he know this?

Thinking of this, a conjecture crossed Rosalie’s mind. She angrily glared at the man in front of her. “Yousent someone to surveil me? II

The last time she was in s City, she had asked him this question, but Byron had denied such claims.Hence, she thought it was just her imagination.

However, in this current situation, how could he have known so much if he had not sent someone tosurveil her?
