Chapter 453 Far Too Coinridental
The next day, there was not much work in the research institute. After lunch, Rosalie briefly dealt withthe remaining work and brought some nutritional products developed by the research institute to theQuirke family’s home.
Andrius was already waiting for her in the living room.
Seeing that Andrius was alone in the living room, Rosalie asked in confusion, “Where’s old MasterQuirke?”
Andrius pointed upstairs. “He is taking a nap upstairs at the moment. We didn’t expect you to come soearly.”
Rosalie nodded in comprehension and lowered her voice subconsciously. “The research institute justhappened to be less busy today. Old Master Quirke has helped me so much during this time. I thoughtof giving him a thorough check-up again.”
Andrius nodded. “Sure, just wait for him to wake up. Let’s sit downstairs for a while.”
Rosalie did not think too much about it. She put down the nutritional supplements and sat down on thesingle sofa next to Andrius as they chatted about the old man’s physical condition.
The two chatted for a while, then the butler’s voice suddenly sounded outside the door.
“President Lawrence, old Master Quirke is having his afternoon nap upstairs. Please wait a moment.”
Hearing this, Rosalie’s voice stopped abruptly, she subconsciously looked at the door of the villa.
The slender and tall Byron strode in while dressed in an expensive custom suit.
The man was listening to the butler as he lowered his head intently. He finally nodded and replied in adeep voice, “I see.”
After speaking, Byron raised his head and looked into the living room.
The man’s eyebrows twitched slightly when he saw the people sitting in the living room. He appeared alittle surprised.
Rosalie also frowned but did not respond for a while.
Andrius was sandwiched between the two and looked back and forth between them, feeling helpless.However, there was a look of surprise on his face. “Byron? when did you arrive? why are you suddenlyhere today?”
Byron indifferently looked away from Rosalie and said to Andrius, ” I’ve been busy with work for awhile. 1 had time to spare today. I came to visit Grandpa Quirke. How is he?”
Andrius shrugged and passed the baton to Rosalie. “You have to ask Dr. Jacobs, she has always takencare of the old master’s health. Dr. Jacobs just gave the old master a full body check-up not too longago.”
Rosalie found it strange.
She did not know if it was just her illusion, but she felt that meeting Byron today was far toocoincidental.
Moreover, Andrius’ words just now felt deliberate.
Byron’s gaze returned to her, but he did not say anything as if they were just unrelated strangers.
Rosalie could not suppress the oddity in her heart. She tried her best to calmly meet the man’s gazeand smiled at him detachedly. ” Hello, President Lawrence.”
Seeing her alienated expression, his lips tensed in irony. “Dr. Jacobs, please tell me about GrandpaQuirke’s physical condition.”
Rosalie was startled.
