Chapter 44 I‘ll Marry Him When I Grow Up
The two of them chatted briefly, but as it was late, Mary then said her goodbyes and left.
The two little ones followed Rosalie around the room like they were her tails. After cleaning up a bit,Rosalie then had the time to turn around and care for them. “Did you guys have fun at kindergartentoday? Did you guys get into trouble with the other children?”
The two little ones carefully recalled their time and nodded hard. “It was quite pleasant. When schoolwas over today, the children stuffed us with a lot of snacks!” Hearing this, Rosalie could not helplaughing. “Are you two so popular?” Nox nodded solemnly. He looked at Lucian beside him and said,“There was a girl today who said that she wants to marry Lucian when she grows up!”
“Really?” Rosalie looked at her son with amusement.
Lucian was stunned for a moment before he glanced at his brother, ears slightly red. “There was one,but I didn‘t promise her.”
Nox pinched his ears and made a face at him. Seeing the little ones messing around, Rosalie‘s facewas filled with smiles. Although it was already late, the two still spent some time pestering her andtalking about the interesting things that happened at kindergarten. Most of the time, it was Nox whosaid a bunch of stuff while Lucian summarized it. Rosalie also listened to them carefully and laughedloudly from time to time because of how cute they were.

“You have to be quick. You two still need to go to kindergarten tomorrow!”
Rosalie retracted her smile and urged the two to go and rest. They listened to her and ended their topicof conversation before heading upstairs to rest.
In the morning of the next day, Rosalie sent them to the kindergarten before heading to the researchinstitute.
Rosalie and Yves exited the conference room together after the morning meeting. “How did it goyesterday? Were you able to do anything about Old Master Quirke‘s illness?”
Yves expressed his concern.
Rosalie nodded slightly. “The old master‘s condition is very serious and treatment is a little tricky. It‘snot impossible to cure it, but the treatment period will be longer. I‘ll likely head there often these days,so I‘ll leave things here to you.”
Hearing this, Yves‘ eyes were full of appreciation. He joked, “Who would have thought an illness thatthe famous doctors the Quirke family had invited and found impossible to treat would become less of atrouble in your hands, Dr. Jacobs. What you said sure does make us feel inadequate!”
His remark was a joke but also a fact.
After all, he was included among these helpless doctors. Rosalie smiled dismissively. “It‘s but a fieldthat I‘m familiar with.” Seeing her calm appearance, Yves‘ heart throbbed again. “By the way, althoughOld Master Quirke hasn‘t recovered yet, the Quirkes have agreed to provide us with medicinalmaterials. We should be able to sign the contract today. Moreover, the first batch of supplies will befree. It‘s more or less a solution to our urgent needs. After that, we won‘t have to worry about themedicinal materials anymore.” Rosalie turned to mention the supply of medicinal materials. Her facewas all smiles at the thought of this. Yves raised a brow with surprise. “Really? The Quirkes are willingto sign a contract with us when Old Master Quirke has just woken up?” Rosalie nodded with a smile. Ather affirmation, Yves praised, “It looks like they were impressed by your medical prowess. You‘reindeed impressive.” Rosalie smiled calmly. “I just did something within my power. I hope there‘ll be no
more complications with the old master‘s condition.” “With you taking action in person, it‘ll all gosmoothly,” Yves assured.
