Chapter 399

Chapter 399 Let Go of Me

“President Lawrence, please don’t do this. We are but two strangers. I’d be very perplexed if you didthis.”

Rosalie kept calm. She frowned at the person in front of her.

After she said that, she saw Byron’s lips part inexplicably.

The man’s cold voice rang through the car in the next second.

“A stranger? So, it turns out that Miss Jacobs would invite a stranger to dinner as she pleases and thatshe would also get into a stranger’s car. Since Miss Jacobs thinks so, however, I don’t mind getting wellacquainted with you!”

Rosalie was about to refuse him but when she looked up, she saw that the man was already in front ofher.

The man’s large body was filled with an oppressive force in the narrow car which was practicallyrendering her breathless.novelbin

“What are you doing!” Rosalie looked at the person in front of her, alert.

Byron replied leisurely, “I just want to introduce myself to Miss Jacobs properly.”

Rosalie coldly refused, “I don’t want to hear it! I also don’t think it’s necessary for US to getacquainted!”

Byron did not allow her to refuse him and said to himself seemingly, “My name is Byron Lawrence, I amthe current president of the Lawrence Group, and six years ago, we were married before…”

Hearing this, Rosalie lowered her gaze in panic as if she had been stabbed by something.

The man grasped her chin firmly, however, forcing her to raise her head, to look straight into his eyesas he continued the rest.

“Speaking of, it’s such a coincidence that my ex-wife had the same name as you, she was also calledRosalie Jacobs. However, she left a divorce agreement and took off without saying goodbye six yearsago. I ‘ve looked for her for six years. I think Miss Jacobs is likely aware of her whereabouts?”

The strength in Byron’s hand was getting larger and larger.

Rosalie felt pain from having her chin in his grasp that she almost thought that her chin was about to becrushed. Byron’s voice in her ears was also a little blurry.

Hearing his last two sentences, Rosalie’s eyes narrowed as she doubted her ears.

Byron had been looking for her for six years, why? Why had he been looking for her?

Did he not always want to marry Wendy? Did her leaving not line up exactly with what he wanted?

However, it had been a whole six years, yet his marriage with Wendy had only reached the stage of amarriage contract. Why was this…

Just when she was at a loss, the man noticed her getting distracted and exerted a little more strength inhis hands.

Rosalie felt the pain and instinctively groaned.

Byron turned a deaf ear to it and just continued, “I also have a daughter named Estelle who suffersfrom severe autism since childhood, she has an auntie whom she likes very much, who is also named

Rosalie. During this time, my daughter has also been suffering repeated bouts from her conditionacting up because of that auntie. Miss Jacobs, don’t you think we are so very destined?”

Speaking of Estie, Rosalie could not help but fall into a trance.

This man had basically targeted her sore spot and his every word was rubbing salt on an open wound.

As a result of their marriage six years ago, that was only in title, Estelle was now suffering because ofit.

Thinking of the little girl, guilt rose in Rosalie’s chest, and her eyes also gradually softened.

Seeing her getting distracted again, Byron exerted more force unhappily.

Rosalie snapped back to her senses. Gritting her teeth, she brought up her hand and grabbed his wrist, struggling. “Let me go, Byron Lawrence! You’re crazy! II

Byron’s lips pulled sarcastically, “It seems that my self-introduction was not too bad. Miss Jacobsremembered my name so quickly.”

Hearing this, Rosalie was baffled, when she saw the dark expression on the man’s face, fear rose inhis heart, she felt like she would be swallowed alive by him in the next second.
