The person on the other line was stunned for a few seconds before answering righteously.
Hearing that, Don felt chills running through his heart. He knew that he had been deceived, but it wastoo late.
“If President Quirke questions me about this…” Don asked for the person’s opinion hesitantly.
The person on the other line went silent once again before simply giving some vague answers, “Justsay whatever you need to. He’s probably not clear about what Lawrence Corporation is doing andthat’s why he came to look for you. Just tell him what you know.”
That being said, the person hung up the call without waiting for Don to respond.
