After saying this, she heard slight displeasure in Leon’s voice, “why are you being so polite to me? Yousaved my parents. This is nothing compared to what you’ve done for us! Even if I dared to accept yourgratitude, my parents would refuse it.”
Rosalie pursed her lips and smiled, she took back what she said a few sentences earlier. “I’ll wait foryour good news, then.”
Leon agreed and hung up in an instant.
While in the office, Yves was looking at Rosalie in confusion. He had no idea who she had just called.From the sound of it, the person on the line seemed to be of quite some age.
Besides, Rosalie’s expression had clearly eased after the call.
“Dr. Jacobs, can this person… be trusted?” Yves asked vaguely.
Rosalie nodded slightly. “He’s a senior I met when I was overseas. I’m sure you’ve heard of his namebefore. Leon Martin.”
“It’s him?” Yves was completely stunned.
