Rosalie brought Lucian and Nox to have lunch. She then bought two sets of clothes for them beforebringing them home.
Lisa had prepared dinner for them.
Rosalie brought them to the dining table and made them sit down. Lisa asked them what they didtoday. Both the children told her everything. The atmosphere was rather joyous.novelbin
They had just started eating for a while when Rosalie suddenly noticed that Nox was eatingexceptionally slowly today. “Nox, what’s wrong? Did you have too much during lunch today? Is that whyyou can’t eat anymore?”
After hearing what Rosalie said, Lisa and Lucian looked at Nox.
Nox was clutching at his stomach with one of his hands under the table, and he was using his otherhand to eat slowly. His face was pale. He looked rather uncomfortable.
Lucian was extremely worried when he noticed his younger brother in such a condition. “Mommy, itlooks like Nox isn’t feeling well.”
Rosalie put down her utensils, got up, and walked over to Nox.
Nox did not force himself to eat when he noticed that his mommy was coming over. He placed both ofhis hands under the table to clutch at his stomach, and his face crumpled in pain.
“What’s wrong? Do you have a stomachache?”
Rosalie grabbed Nox’s wrist with a heavy expression on her face. She wanted to know if he was notfeeling well.
Nox nodded forcefully. Just as Rosalie grabbed onto his wrist, he jumped down from his chair with anunpleasant expression across his face and ran to the toilet.
Rosalie got up and looked at Lucian worriedly. “Are you feeling unwell?”
Lucian shook his head after thinking about his own condition once again.
Lisa looked in the direction of the toilet worriedly. She turned around and glanced at the dishes. “Thatcan’t be. There shouldn’t be any problems with the dishes tonight.”
Rosalie smiled at Lisa comfortingly and said, “The dishes are alright. I think he might’ve caught a coldwhile he was swimming this afternoon. Or perhaps he got food poisoning from the food he had duringlunch.”
Lisa nodded slightly and calmed down. However, there was a look of pity on her face.
Ever since she started working in this household, it seemed like Rosalie and her sons fell sickfrequently.
She wondered how their lives had been previously.
After some time, Nox walked out of the washroom with a pale expression on his face.
“How are you?” Rosalie asked in concern.
Nox shook his head and said, “I don’t feel anything anymore.”
Rosalie still felt worried. She brought Nox to the sofa and sat down with him. she then grabbed hishand and felt his pulse.
“When did you start feeling uncomfortable?” Rosalie frowned as she looked at Nox.
Nox replied guiltily, “It started when I was in the car in the evening.”
Rosalie did not know what to say to Nox. she sighed and said, “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Nox said in a soft voice, “I didn’t want you to worry. Also, I just thought that I had to go to the toilet…”
After all, he and Lucian had just told her that they wanted to protect her. children valued their dignity alot as well.
He could not tell that he was sick either. He simply felt a stomach ache and had the urge to go to thewashroom when he was in the car.
However, he did not expect his stomach to cramp so painfully after he had just taken two bites of hisfood.
He felt rather guilty and embarrassed now that his mommy had discovered that he was not feeling well.
Rosalie knew what Nox was thinking. She pitied him but felt rather amused as well. “If you want toprotect me, you must first take care of your own health.
Remember to let me know earlier if you’re not feeling well the next time.”
Lucian nodded obediently.
“You could’ve just taken some medicine, but now, you must go to the hospital.” Rosalie raised her gazeand looked at the time. “Luckily, it isn’t very late yet.”
After speaking, she asked Lisa to prepare thick coats for both children, she then fetched them to thehospital.
