Chapter 297

Chapter 297 Icing On The Cake

Rosalie knew nothing about Wendy’s plan.

It was really busy in the research institute recently, what she said to Estie was not all excuses.

She had to rest at home for a day due to the injury on her wrist and the persistence of the little ones.

The next morning, she was woken up by a phone call from a team member. After a brief exchange ofwords, she hurried to the institute before she even had time to eat breakfast.

The previous project has been researched to the end stage, where the beginning and end of thisproject are equally difficult. Therefore, when the project first started, Rosalie spent almost all the time inthe experimental area.

Now the end stage of the project is near, work has resumed its original level of busyness.

Yves Graham still served as her deputy.

During the experiment, Mr. Graham caught a glimpse of her injured wrist, and frowned, “Dr. Jacobs, your hand…”

Rosalie was so caught up with work that she forgot that she still had an injury on her wrist. Afterfollowing his line of sight, she remembered and smiled lightly. “It’s nothing, I participated in the parent-child activity in the kindergarten on the weekend, and I accidentally scratched myself.”

Hearing this, Mr. Graham was relieved. He took over most of the work that required hands-onprocesses.

Rosalie was standing aside and giving directions.

The two cooperated tacitly.

Almost a week flew by as they kept busy.

When the research finally achieved the desired effect, everyone in the laboratory was elated.

Rosalie couldn’t help but feel happy.

When she was abroad, although she was already an independent doctor, she was still under thesupervision of a teacher. Many projects were nominally completed by her independently, but theteacher’s guidance was indispensable.

This time, this is the first project she has truly completed on her own!

“Dr. Jacobs, are you free later this evening?” After leaving the experimental area, Mr. Graham walkedto Rosalie with a smile.

Rosalie was stunned for a moment and looked at him puzzled, with a faint vigilance in her eyes.

Seeing her like a frightened cat, Mr. Graham couldn’t help but laughed. “Looking at your expression, you must have forgotten. When the project is completed, you promised the team to have a celebrationdinner together. Everyone in the group is still waiting for you!”

Rosalie smiled and agreed without hesitation, “Most definitely, I must be swamped out of my mind, please let everyone know. See you at River view Lodge at eight o’clock in the evening.”

Mr. Graham agreed and turned around towards the experimental area.

After a while, Rosalie heard a burst of cheers from inside.

Only by the sound, she could also feel the excitement of the team.novelbin

This project is very difficult and can be considered a breakthrough for everyone upon completion. Thecelebration dinner in the evening is the icing on top of the cake.

Rosalie returned to the office and asked the assistant to book a private room in River view Lodge. Thencalled Mary and asked her to pick up the two little boys at night.

Last night, she told the boys that she would pick them up personally after the project ended today. Thetwo little boys were very happy and mentioned this to Estie.

Thinking of Estie, Rosalie felt another burst of guilt.

The boys must have told Estie what she said. If she did not see her later at night, the little girl will besad again.

Rosalie hesitated over this and said to Mary, “If you see Estie, please apologize to her and tell her that Iam delayed at work today.”

On the other side, Mary was puzzled over Rosalie’s request, but she did not ask further but agreed witha smile.
