Byron presented the roses and opened the gift box, revealing his present.
Like a star, it was a brilliant gem with a mild blue glow.

Rosalie realized her husband might have gone through a lot of trouble to get her this gem from herchildren’s professional discussion.
She felt loved and happy. She took the gem and kissed Byron.

Just then, the lights in the living room lit up, and someone sang the birthday song.
Rosalie thought Byron had invited a professional singer to come and sing.
When she turned around, she saw her mother-in-law, Melody.
Unexpectedly, her mother-in-law was so good at singing. It surprised Rosalie.
A second later, the maids walked out, singing along with smiles on their faces. Their wishes weresincere and warm.
Benedict pushed a cart with a seven-layered cake into the living room.
The children jumped up and down, singing and drooling over the cake.
Seven layers of cake, and each layer was made with different ingredients. It was colorful and beautiful.
Rosalie was touched.
Her birthday had always been celebrated hastily in the past years. Only a few people in the worldremembered it.
After having children, her birthday celebrations were better. The boys would eat cake with her and wishher the best wishes.
This year was the biggest birthday of her life.
Her eyes shimmered with tears. After suppressing her emotions, she smiled and cut the cake.
She gave the kids each a slice. Then, she handed two slices to her in-laws. At last, she divided thecake equally among the maids.
The living room was filled with laughter and joy. Rosalie was not drunk, but the surging joy made herfeel tipsy.
She hoped her life would always be as happy as today.
Mary had taken a week off from work, and that was enough time for her to travel back to Coast City.
However, seven days had passed, and they had only finished half the journey.
The Northwest was to be blamed for that. There were so many scenic spots. It was off-season fortourism, so few tourists were around the area. Thus, it was the best time to travel. Andrius took theopportunity to plan the stops at a few more scenic spots.
Along the trip, Mary finally saw how good Andrius was in coaxing her mother and taking care of her. Hewas meticulous and a good planner.
Her mother also took the opportunity to discuss with Andrius about their marriage.
When staying in the hotel at night, her mother constantly locked Mary outside the room and urged herto sleep with Andrius.
However, Mary could not tell her what actually happened every night. Even when she was prepared fora passionate night, that gentleman would always ask for an extra bed.
Mary wanted to tell him that he could get rid of his respectful and gentlemanly behavior.
Come to think of it, Andrius seemed more conservative than her. She felt they might only sleeptogether on their wedding night.
However, Mary could not resist her urge when she smelled his scent after he took a bath.
She watched the handsome man walk out of the bath every night, but nothing ever happened betweenthem. Mary could not control her mind from imagining, so these nights had been difficult for her.
That night, Camelia chased Mary out of the room again.
