Chapter 1993

The Halo Hill Scenic Park was located on a vast land after the highway.

The moon was bright that night, and scarce stars were blinking around it. There were a few groups ofpeople sitting around the park. Some were families with kids, and others were young couples.

That place was a perfect dating spot.

Andrius might have prepared in advance for this moment. He took out a waterproof mat from the carand some snacks. Then, he looked for a space farthest from the crowd and arranged the things hebrought in order.

Mary felt it was romantic and said, “It’d be perfect if there was a tent where we could lie down all nightto watch the stars.”

Unexpectedly, Andrius answered, “I do have a tent, but…”

Mary was flustered, and her cheeks blushed.

Andrius would see her face flushing red if not for the dark environment.

She was not prepared to spend a night in the tent with him yet.

Andrius continued spreading the mat before placing the snacks on the mat. He took the portable kettlefrom the car. Then, he started arranging everything.

“I notice your taste is becoming more and more like President Lawrence’s.” Mary diverted the topic.

“Is that so? I drank tea before just to taste it. Now, I drink it because I like it. Of course, I’m unlikeByron, who likes to taste different types of tea. I only like one type of tea, which is black tea.”

Andrius’ words were casual, but they sounded philosophical.

Startled, Mary stared at his perfect jawline in a daze. The moon vaguely shone on his face, making himlook more charming. Suddenly, Mary’s heart hammered.

All she could think of was how handsome he was at the moment.

He was finally done arranging the things, and he said, “Have a seat. The moon is beautiful tonight, isn’tit?”

“Yes. It’s beautiful.” Mary felt like she was back in her school years. She was excited, shy, and nervousto be with the man she had a crush on.

She could not remember how long it had been since she was able to enjoy nature and the moonlight.

The night breeze and the beautiful moon gradually calmed her down. Mary enjoyed the precious leisuremoment.novelbin

They drank hot tea, ate snacks, discussed the past, and shared stories.

Although she could not see his expression, he seemed livelier than before.

Mary felt happy for him. It seemed that he had walked out of his misery.

When Andrius handed her the cup of tea, their fingers brushed each other’s. Mary was shy, and herheart thumped.

“Oh, I remember something interesting. When I was in high school, I came to this park with my friends. It was still a small park back then. We buried our wish bottles by a slope.

I wonder if the wish bottles are still there,” Andrius mentioned suddenly.

“Really? I’m curious. What wish did you make back then? Where did you guys bury them? Will we beable to find them now?” Mary was curious, indeed.

“Come on. I’ll take you there to dig them out. Maybe they’re still buried there!” Andrius smiled and stoodup as he stretched out his hand to Mary.

She stretched out her hand to hold his.

However, at the same time, he wanted to retract his hand because he felt it was inappropriate to holdher hand.

Fortunately, Mary was quick and placed her hand on his before he could retract.

Andrius was startled but smiled and pulled her up from the ground before leading the way to the wishbottles.

He counted his steps to estimate the distance and finally saw an unnoticeable slope. Then, he cleanedthe weeds and dug the soil.

Those wish bottles were buried deep. He had to dig 30 centimeters below before he heard a clangingsound.

“I found them. They’re still here. Let’s make the hole bigger. We buried four because there were four ofus,” Andrius said excitedly.

It was like an adventure. Even Mary was a little excited and quickly helped by pulling out the weeds inthat area.
