Chapter 1816 Sudden Increase In Price
Rosalie accompanied Mary by chatting with her that night on the phone.
After Mary dozed off, Rosalie felt a cramp in her lower abdomen.
Her menstrual period was coming.
Rosalie felt uncomfortable each time she experienced it. However, she had always endured it becauseof her work.
She thought Byron had gone to bed. Unexpectedly, he returned from the kitchen with a cup of hotginger tea.
“Why don’t you drink this? I’ll give you a foot massage.”
Rosalie was bewildered. Byron was the chairman of Lawrence Corporation and was a leader. He hadalways been cold and ruthless.
However, he was gentle to her, making her feel touched.
She reached out to take the cup. The man asked her to wait, and he blew on the tea to make it warmand easy to drink.
Then, the man casually headed to get a basin of water for Rosalie.
Rosalie drank the ginger tea and felt her cramps getting better. The ginger tea tasted nice.
Now, she understood why Mary had been complaining about Andrius. She even compared Andrius toByron, saying that there was something wrong with the man for missing out on the chance.
Rosalie smiled, feeling blessed.
The man brought the basin of water to her. After helping her sit upright, he tested the temperature ofthe water. Then, he massaged her feet.
“I'll massage you after you massage me.” She was flattered to be treated like this.
She wanted him to experience a nice massage from his wife as well.
“I don’t go through menstruation. Moreover, you've been standing in the research institute all day.Massaging your feet can help you ease your tiredness and prevent varicose veins. Am I right?”
Rosalie nodded. Byron was right.

The next day, Rosalie drove the kids to the kindergarten early in the morning and headed to theresearch institute.
Linda called her in a hurry. “Dr. Jacobs, I checked the accounts today, and there's something wrongwith our raw material purchase price. There's suddenly a huge overcharge! I continued to investigateand found that the medicinal materials supply company was once under the Lancer family. They'veincreased the price of medicinal materials. The purchasing department didn’t tell me about it in time!”
“How much did they increase it by?” Rosalie frowned in a puzzle.

Rosalie hung up the call and pondered.
‘Does Byron know about this matter? It might be inappropriate to go to his office and ask him. Whydon’t I call him and ask him to meet me outside?’
Rosalie told Byron the situation and suggested meeting him in a cafe near Lawrence Corporation.
After Byron arrived, she showed him the document she received from Linda.
The man immediately frowned. It was indeed a huge price increase.
He asked the Quirke family to purchase the company to control the supply and price. Now, what wasthe difference between the sudden price increase with what Xander had done before?
