Chapter 1702 The Kids Would Worry

Byron had prepared himself for the worst.

He nodded. “I believe in you. You’re an outstanding doctor, and Xander’s poison is a piece of cake foryou.”

Rosalie thought she would have to convince Byron to get him to believe in her, but he agreed to herplan easier than she expected. She was a little taken aback.

Byron continued peeling the apple. “However, you must not keep it from me if anything happens duringthis process.”

Rosalie snapped out of her daze and nodded obediently. “Sure.”

Then, she looked at the man before her affectionately and said, “Hubby, thank you for trusting me.”

Byron froze upon hearing that.

He was both happy and surprised, even doubting he heard things. He stared into her eyes and asked,“What did you call me?”

Rosalie did not know what was wrong with her, making her call him that.

She could not say that word again when he stared at her with his burning gaze. Her face flushed red asshe looked away.novelbin

Byron did not plan to give up and put the apple down. He looked into her eyes and urged, “What didyou call me just now? Repeat it.”

“H-Hubby…”

Rosalie’s face blushed as she stuttered. She was shy.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

It was the ringtone she had set for her little ones.

Rosalie grabbed Byron’s hand and said, “It’s a call from the kids. Answer it, quick.”

She had not contacted the little ones for days, and they might be worried.

Although Byron told them she was on a business trip, Lucian and Nox had always been sensitive andintelligent. They might overthink.

Byron could only let go of Rosalie and answer the call, but his gaze was still on Rosalie.

“Mommy!”

The little kids’ cute voices came through the phone once the call went through.

Rosalie answered gently, “It’s me. Have you been obedient while I was away?”

The children finally heard her voice. They told her what had happened these few days.

“We’ve been good and even helped Grandma Zora wash plates.”

“I helped too.”

“I helped Grandma Zora match her outfits.”

The little ones chatted through the phone.

Rosalie smiled upon hearing the cute and energetic voices of her children. “Good.”

“Mommy, when will you be back? We miss you so much.”

The triplets sounded disappointed.

Rosalie glanced at the man before her, not knowing how to answer that.

“Daddy said you’d be back tonight. Are you really coming back tonight?”

Lucian asked.

Rosalie pondered for a few seconds before answering with a smile, “Yes. I’m already at the airport. I’llbe back at Coast City tonight. Wait for me at home. I’ll bring gifts for you all.”

The little ones were obedient and said, “Okay. We’ll go to bed after you reach home, Mommy.”

Rosalie smiled and diverted the topic as she asked how their lives had been.

The kids shared everything over the phone.

Only when it was almost lunchtime did they hang up the call reluctantly.

Rosalie looked sad when she looked at the phone screen.

“I want to go back home tonight.”

She looked at Byron, trying to get his opinion. “If I don’t show up, the kids will be worried.”
