Chapter 1654 Created An Opportunity

"Why are you here alone? Where's sister-in-law?"

Andrius asked carefully.

The atmosphere turned grim at the mention of Rosalie.

Andrius kept quiet and stayed silently by his buddy’s side, waiting for him to speak first.

After an unknown amount of time, Byron spoke. His voice cracked from exhaustion.

"Something happened to Rosalie."

Andrius had already guessed it. However, his heart still dropped to his gut when he heard Byron’s tone.

Based on his understanding of Byron, Rosalie must have encountered a massive problem this time.

He offered. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Byron put down his teacup and leaned back on the sofa. He raised his hands to cover his eyes andspoke in a heavy voice.

"Xander poisoned her… Rosalie has been in a coma for one day. I have called so many doctors, butthey are helpless about her situation. Those people don't even know what poison affected her!"

Andrius was shocked. "Xander? How dare he..."

Then, in mid-sentence, he saw Byron’s face. Andrius suppressed the shock in his heart andimmediately kicked into solution mode.

"Don't worry, the Quirke family still has connections in the medical field after so many years. Manyfamous doctors chose to withdraw from society. Even if you have money, you can't hire them. I should

be able to seek out one or two doctors if I use my grandpa's name to ask them for help. I will sendsomeone to deliver invitations!"

As he said that, he took out his mobile phone and called his assistant, asking him to prepare invitationsovernight and send them to those hidden masters.

Byron's voice was hoarse yet grateful. "Thank you."

Andrius frowned unhappily. "No thanks are needed between us. If we had to be so formal, I'd have tokneel and bow in front of you and my sister-in-law. You both have helped me so much before this."

With the Fuller family's resources alone, the size of Quirke Enterprise has expanded nearly twice asmuch as before.

Not to mention Rosalie's new drug. The Quirke family's reputation would soar to greater heights afterthe drug is on the market.

Byron sighed deeply but did not answer.

Andrius comforted him. "Don't worry, my sister-in-law is blessed. She has saved so many patients daily.God won't let her down so easily."

Despite that, Andrius felt a little uncertain.

‘The Lancer family had been hiding from the world for many years, with a century-old heritage in theresearch of medicinal materials.

‘I don't know what insidious method Xander used…’

"I hope so."

Byron sat up and reached out to grab the cup, trying to calm the turmoil in his heart with more tea, butthe hand holding the cup trembled unconsciously.

Andrius was alarmed.

He had always known that Byron deeply loved Rosalie, but he never thought that Rosalie's situationwould terrify him like this!

He also knew that he was the only person Byron would show such vulnerability to.

‘Once Byron stepped out of here, he would return to the outside world as the impenetrable PresidentLawrence again.’

Thinking of this, Andrius could not help feeling sorry for his best friend.

No one knew better than him how difficult it was for these two people to get together.

No one would expect that after finally getting together, they would encounter this...

"She could’ve avoided this."

Byron’s tone was heavy with self-blame.

Andrius looked at him puzzled.novelbin

Byron said, "She was in negotiation with Xander about the new medicine. I gave her an idea thatsolidify her persistence toward the negotiation. She went to Xander again and again, but unexpectedly, her attempts to meet created an opportunity for Xander to attack her."

The little woman would not care about the profit sharing if he never mentioned it.

‘We could have avoided this situation if we had agreed on a 50-50 split with Xander from the start…’
