Chapter 1614

Chapter 1614 The Lancer Family Doesn’t Need Undeserved Reputation

Xander did not care how angry his grandfather was, but he tried to convince him.

"Grandpa, Dr.Jacobs insisted on pricing the drug at 120 bucks each.I don’t think anyone can acceptsuch a low price. This is a losing business."

Old Master Lancer felt his vision turn dark.He almost fainted. He never expected the heir he hadcarefully picked to be so interested in profit!

"Is the Lancer family so poor that we need such little profit?"

He gasped at his chest and scolded Xander.

Xander hung his head in silence.

Although he did not speak, it was enough to show his attitude. He still thought the deal was a loss andnot worth doing.

Old Master Lancer looked at his grandson and felt disappointed.

"I chose you as the heir of the Lancer family because I thought you'd understand that the reputation ofthe Lancer family depends on the benevolence of a doctor, not the profit we make!"novelbin

Xander answered gloomily, "I understand."

Old Master Lancer glared at his grandson.

"No! You don’t! Before this, the Lancer family couldn't produce any new drugs for years. We had a newdrug produced because of our partnership with Rosalie, but you blew it!"

The television showed the press conference ending and Rosalie leaving the venue under the protectionof three bodyguards as they walked through the group of reporters.

The cooperation between Rosalie and the new suppliers had been made.

Realizing there was no way to change the result, Old Master Lancer shook his head and said, "Forgetit. You’ve lost your path.Leave your job at Lancer Corporation for the time being and go on a free clinictour.Go and think about why I’m disappointed in you.I'll get someone else to take over the company fornow."

Xander’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing that decision.

He looked at his grandfather in disbelief.

Lancer Corporation could develop into what it was today because of him.

However, his grandfather wanted to get rid of him so easily.

How could he accept that? Moreover, he had yet to achieve his goal! Xander suppressed his emotionsand apologized to his grandfather, "Grandpa, I know my mistake.I caused this without considering theconsequences, but I’m sure there is a way to change Dr.Jacobs’s mind! I’ll talk to her about this."

Old Master Lancer his head in disappointment.

"It’s too late now.Don't you see? Now the world knows Dr.Jacobs is cooperating with LancerCorporation and Quirke Enterprise."

Even if they launched the new drug, it would have nothing to do with Lancer Corporation.

Now, Old Master Lancer only hoped that the news of Lancer Corporation stopping cooperation with theresearch institute after participating in the research would not leak out.

If it got out, it might affect the reputation of the Lancer family.

"There are hundreds of medicinal materials used in this new drug.Rosalie can’t find all the substitutesso quickly! There must be more she hasn’t found, and she needs to cooperate with LancerCorporation!"

Xander did not give up.

Looking at his persistent grandson, Old Master Lancer did not want to talk more about it.He shook hishead tiredly.

"I’m too old to control you.As the heir of a medical family, you care too much about profits, and it mightbring you down one day!"

Then, he headed upstairs with the help of his walking cane.

Downstairs, Xander’s gaze turned cold.

He felt his grandfather was getting too old to judge things.

The Lancer family had firm roots now.

Lancer Corperation was also a magnate that companies in the industry adored.

However, it was pointless.

That was only a worthless reputation.

On the contrary, the Lancer family had to pay for a lot of energy and financial resources every year justto maintain this reputation.

If this continued, the Lancer family would face bankruptcy.

They did not need the reputation anymore! What the Lancer family needed now was money! All theyneeded was profit!
