Nox still hesitated. "So we don’t tell Mommy? What if our little sister is really missing?"
Lucian frowned. "Mummy has been in a bad mood for the past two days. If we tell her, it will only makeher even more unhappy. Let's not make her worry. Let's go back and have a look first!"
Nox listened to his brother and considered Mommy’s feelings for the past two days. Then, he noddedsadly.
The two little boys walked out of the amusement park hand in hand and stopped a car nearby.
The driver became worried seeing two children flagging down his car.
"Hey, buddy, why are you two alone? Are you lost? Do you need me to call the police for you?"
Lucian shook his head with a sullen face. “We came out by ourselves. Our Mommy is waiting for us athome! Could we trouble you to send us back?"
The driver was still a little skeptical, but he was even more worried about leaving the two children onthe side of the road, so he let them get into his car.

The driver came back to his senses and smiled kindly at them. "No need, I won’t accept money fromchildren. Go in quickly, your mom and dad would be worried if you go back late."
Lucian would not agree. He patted Nox's arm and said to his younger brother. "Go down and ask Mrs.Zora to get the money, I'll wait for you in the car."
Nox agreed. He opened the car door, ran to the gate, and rang the doorbell.
Mrs. Zora quickly connected the video call.
Nox explained the situation, and Mrs. Zora readily agreed. The old housekeeper hung up the phoneand came out with the money.
Mrs. Zora thanked the driver repeatedly as she watched the two boys come home safely. She wantedto give the driver more money, but he refused to accept it.
Mrs. Zora had no choice but to thank him again and took Lucian and Nox back.
"Why only you two come back? Where is Madam and the Little Lady?"
Back at the villa, Mrs. Zora anxiously checked whether they were injured.
Lucian and Nox obediently raised their arms, allowing her to inspect them.
The boys did not know how to answer. Mrs. Zora breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that theywere alright. She asked anxiously, "Why didn't you say anything? Did Madam say something mean toyou again?"
She knew how unkind the Madam can be towards the boys. She was worried that the little boys werescolded by Melody.
Lucian and Nox looked at each other. They shook their heads, not wanting to make matters worse.''No, we're tired from playing by ourselves, so we came back first."
Mrs. Zora stared at them suspiciously for a few seconds. The little boys smiled adorably so that no onewould suspect anything unusual.
Mrs. Zora still felt that something was amiss, but she knew there was no point asking further. "What doyou want to eat tonight? Grandma Zora will make it for you."
The little ones gave a long list of dishes in their childlike voice. Mrs. Zora smiled and agreed.
