Chapter 1583

Chapter 1583 Thinking Too Simply

Rosalie had been thinking about the medicinal material supplier and did not hear Byron’s question.Sheonly snapped out of her thoughts when the car moved.

Then, she asked Byron, "Where are we going?"

Byron said, "I’m not sure what you want to eat.So let’s go and have something light."

Rosalie nodded. She did not have the mood to think about what to eat.

The car gradually pulled over in front of a restaurant.

Byron got out of the car and opened the door for Rosalie.

Rosalie was still in a daze, and she looked worried. Her thoughts were written on her face.

The food was tasteless to her.

Rosalie had no appetite, and her mind was occupied with something else. She had wanted to stopeating, but Byron persuaded her to eat, so she ate a little more.

"Is the cooperation between you and Lancer Corporation not going smoothly?"

After lunch, the two of them went back to the car.

Byron asked in his deep voice.

Rosalie was startled and looked at the man before her, not knowing if she should tell him about it.

If she could, she wanted to solve this matter herself.

However, she would rely on this man before her if she was desperate.

Rosalie had no other way.novelbin

Just as she was hesitating, Byron’s voice sounded.

"Xander couldn’t accept your offered price, and your negotiation failed. Now, Lancer Corporationrefuses to cooperate with the research institute."

Byron sounded firm as if he had investigated them.

Rosalie looked at him, shocked.

"How did you know?"

Byron sounded helpless.

"There are only a few possible cooperation results, and I’ve been in the business field for years.I canguess the result from your expression."

Looking at Rosalie’s bleak mood, he said calmly, "If I were Xander, I wouldn’t accept the price either."

"Is it really that low?"

Rosalie doubted herself.

"However, if it’s higher..."

Byron did not appease her.

Instead, he nodded frankly.

"To a businessman, if the profit is low, we can only see the return after a long investment period. It’s notworth it."

Rosalie frowned.

"However, the pharmaceutical industry exists to serve the patients. We should think of the patients’benefits before everything, right?"

Then, she said with a lack of confidence, "Maybe I was taking everything too simply?"

Byron looked at the woman before him and did not deny her thought.

Rosalie was indeed being too idealistic, especially when it was about business. She had not placedherself in the position of a businessperson. She had been thinking on behalf of a medical researcherwhile she was in the business field.

With that, she would, of course, fail in her negotiation with Xander.

However, she had Byron, so she could be herself.

"My senior colleagues felt what I did was correct when discussing this in a meeting just now."

Rosalie looked at Byron with anticipation, hoping he would agree with her.

Byron did not deny it.

"As a doctor and a researcher, you did nothing wrong. It’s indeed a good deed."

What he meant was that Rosalie was still immature when she dealt with business.

After facing so many failures these two days, Rosalie started to doubt her ability, but Byron denied herthought.

"If it were you, what would you do? Would you increase the price like Xander suggested?"

Rosalie could not help herself from asking.
