Chapter 806: Swagger

Chapter 806: Swagger

Ayan's thin lips pursed tightly as his eyes flickered with a cold indifference, creating an atmosphere that

made others dare not be disturbed.

After a forty-minute drive, the car parked on the side of the road, about five hundred meters away from

the hot spring villa.

Overgrown with weeds, this vast area had been bought out for the development of the hot spring

resort, and no one lived here, making it exceptionally desolate.

Choosing this place to hide someone was indeed a good idea.

The bodyguard in the passenger seat turned to look at Ayan. "Mr. Simpson, let me check for any

surveillance or monitoring devices first. We don't want to be discovered before we even enter."

Ayan nodded, and the bodyguard quickly turned on the computer and worked swiftly. Finally, he

confirmed that there was a surveillance camera at the main entrance and two more inside. He

immediately reported this to Ayan.

Ayan remained silent, his gaze fixed outside the window, lost in thought.

For almost a minute, everything was quiet before Ayan spoke calmly, "When I go in later, if I face any

danger, you must ensure her safety. After I confirm she's here, you can contact Kian to prepare."

The bodyguard nodded, but there was a hint of worry in his eyes. "Mr. Simpson, it may be dangerous

for you to go in alone. Why not let me accompany you?"

"No need. You stay here. If someone else enters besides me, who knows what Austin might do?"

After saying that, Ayan instructed the driver and the bodyguard to get out of the car. He then got out of

the car himself and walked to the driver's seat.

He sat in the car, started the engine, and headed toward the hot spring villa.

The car stopped at the front gate, but instead of getting out, Ayan honked the horn.

The once empty and quiet hot spring villa was instantly surrounded by the sound of the car horn,

alerting those inside.

Austin had just been leaning back on a wooden rocking chair. Upon hearing the loud horn, he

immediately sat up, his eyes filled with vigilance and unease.

His subordinates looked at him, asking, "Mr. Norman, someone's here? Could it be our people?"

Austin's expression remained cold and indifferent, with a hint of chill in his eyes. "Do you think our

people would be so blatant?"novelbin

"You mean it's someone else?"

"Go and check."

"Alright, I'll go now."

Austin's eyes flashed with a touch of coldness, but he still had some doubts. He quickly summoned

another subordinate. "What about her?"

"Mr. Norman, don't worry. Everything is fine. We have her locked in a room, tied to a chair. There's no

way she can escape."

This person had been keeping an eye on Camille all along and was aware of her identity. He had

entertained the idea of sleeping with Ayan's wife, thinking that it would be a lifelong boast.

But it remained just a thought, as it required courage and audacity. If Ayan found out, he would

probably end him without hesitation.

Austin seemed to have seen through his thoughts and glanced at him with a cold gaze. In a detached

tone, he said, "Put away those thoughts in your mind. She is of great use to me."

"Mr. Norman, I understand. I just wonder if, after you're done with her, you could give us a chance?"

"With money, what kind of woman can't you have?" Austin had no intention of treating Camille in such a

way. He knew that if he really did that, Ayan would do everything in his power to retaliate against him

and the Norman family, making it a lose-lose situation.

He believed that what he was doing now didn't intend to harm Camille. It was all because Ayan had

wronged him first. If it weren't for Ayan constantly keeping Cora away from him, why would he resort to

such actions?

As Austin contemplated, his men finished checking the surveillance.

His expression became serious and tense as he said, "Mr. Norman, it seems to be Ayan. He knows

that we've been stalking him, so he's been watching the surveillance cameras closely."

Upon hearing Ayan's name, Austin's expression froze instantly.

He asked, "Is he alone or did he bring someone with him?"

"Just one car, and he's the only person inside."

"That's impossible. Ayan is always cunning. Double-check and give me a definite answer. I need to

know if he's alone or not."

His face turned unpleasant. While Ayan finding this place wasn't entirely unexpected, it still felt too

soon.

With a cold face, Austin's gaze remained fixed as he seemed lost in thought. Suddenly, he paused, as

if he had figured something out, and then he picked up his phone and dialed a number.

After a brief ring, someone answered on the other end, "Hello, Mr. Norman!?"

"Call and ask where Ayan's secretary is. Tell him you have something important to discuss."

"Mr. Norman, it will be exposing my location like this!"

"Sean, don't worry. I'm here, and since I promised to protect you, I will do it." Austin lit a cigarette and

took a drag, a hint of disdain flickering in his eyes. But his voice remained calm as he continued,

"Sean, don't have any concerns. I'm not as ruthless as Mr. Baxter. If you're willing to cooperate with

me, then we're friends. Shouldn't friends help each other?"

"Besides, I want to see if Sean is truly sincere with me."

After finishing his words, Austin ended the call. His men also returned after their investigation, and after

double-checking, they were certain. Austin asked, "It's only Ayan, right? Just him?"

"Yes, Mr. Norman, it's only Ayan, just him. But..."

"But what?"

"I can't help but feel he's too calm. Is he not afraid at all? He doesn't seem to care about us, as if he's

already prepared for us. Shouldn't we leave with his wife first? Let him be unable to catch up with us?"

This kind of talk was undermining their own morale.

Austin's face filled with coldness, and he kicked out angrily, "Get lost!"

Austin was furious. He questioned the man who was kicked and had stumbled back several steps,

"What do you mean? Do you think Ayan is formidable? Am I not as good as him? Can't I come up

against him?"

The man was terrified.

He looked at Austin with a timid face and said, "Mr. Norman, you misunderstood. I didn't mean that. I

was just worried."

"Worried? What's there for you to worry about? Do I need you to worry for me? Get lost, and don't let

me see you."

Austin was extremely angry. Who did this guy think he was? Every word he said showed his fear of

Ayan.

Was he scared?

What was Ayan compared to him?

Was Ayan even worthy of making him afraid?

Austin completely ignored one question, not knowing who had once said that the less a person has, the

more sensitive he becomes.

Austin confirmed that it was indeed only Ayan who had come, so he dialed to Ayan.

He put it on speakerphone, sat back in his chair, held a cup of coffee, and provocatively spoke, "Mr.

Simpson, since you're here, why don't you get out of the car and come inside? I won't come to greet

you. And you just come on your own!"

Austin deliberately spoke this way, intentionally showing his superiority over Ayan.

But Ayan didn't care about all that. He simply pushed open the car door and got out. He was wearing a

black suit that he had worn at the company during the day, but after a long day of running around, he

had loosened his tie, and the top two buttons of his shirt were undone, exuding a hint of reckless and

ruthless aura.

He closed the car door and walked towards the entrance of the hot spring villa. The row of villas inside

was neat and tidy, although abandoned, the structures were still intact. Ayan casually glanced at them

and spoke in a cool voice, "Where are you? Playing hide and seek?"

Austin chuckled, "Mr. Simpson, with your abilities, I believe you can find me. You have ten minutes.

Hm?"
