Chapter 651 Call Off An Engagement

Chapter 651 Call Off An Engagement

If Camille's words just now were emotionless, then at this moment Eileen's words caused Camille to

react strongly.

She stared at Camille in a daze, her eyes cold and questioning, "What did you say?"

Eileen thought she had poked Camille in the heart, and a smile burst out of her face as she let out a

sneer, "Did you not hear what I said? Or did Ayan not tell you that he had Cora sent away?"

Camille didn't respond to Eileen's words, because Ayan had asked Kian to send Cora to a mental

institution and she knew it.

She overreacted, just because she was a little surprised by Eileen's words.

She thought to herself silently, "Does Eileen also know something?"

In order not to let Eileen read her mind and probe, she did not stop Eileen there, but simply asked, "I

don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't know? You don't know or you don't want to admit it?" Eileen laughed lightly and continued to

taunt, "Camille, you're pathetic, Ayan won't even tell you that. I'm sure it's just to save unnecessary

trouble. But I don't think he cares about you. He just doesn't want the rest of his family to know he

chose the latter one between your child and his first love."

Camille: "So you know where Ayan sent Cora?"

"Of course!"

"Is that so?"

Camille looked unconvinced.

Eileen subconsciously wanted to blurt out, but the words came to her mouth and immediately stopped.

She pursed her lips and said indifferently, "You want to know it? But I'm not telling you, ask Ayan

yourself if you are that good!"

"Aren't you a little more capable than I am? And why else would he tell you? Or did he not tell you at

all? It's just you speculating."

"Of course not, do you think I am you?"

Eileen immediately retorted, a look that Camille couldn't understand flickered on her face, as if she was

a little flustered or wanted to covered something up.

Camille looked at her impassively. "After all is said and done, isn't it like you don't know where he sent

Cora either?"

"Anyway, it's not in Hance City anymore. Camille, you should know that their years of relationship are

not something you can compete with."

"What about you? Can you compete?"novelbin

"I don't like him anymore, so I don't care to compare. But you're different. There is a child between you,

and don't you think it's funny when your child grows up and knows his dad doesn't love Mom at all?"

Eileen grunted and looked at Camille with a provocative and smug expression.

Camille did not say anything, just looking at her without any emotion. Camille didn't really care about

her words, but she mentioned Timmy, so she finally had some reaction.

Camille slightly narrowed her eyes, where crossed a touch of indifference. "Funny or not, you have

nothing to do with it. But I have to remind you that I have called the police. They are expected to have

arrived downstairs now."

Camille deliberately glanced at her phone, but in fact she had not called the police at all.

Because Eileen's health indicators had not completely got back to normal so far, it was inappropriate

for her to appear in these public places at this moment.

But unbeknownst to Camille, Eileen's every move was also important to Camille because it could

reflect Preston's purpose.

Eileen's face also froze after hearing this, her eyes were slightly stunned and she immediately said, "If

you treat Cora in the same way you did to me, at that time you can see how Ayan will treat you. Don't

say I didn't remind you, now Cora may have left the country. Ayan can't let her suffer any harm and

aggravation!"

Having said that, she flew out of Camille's office, and then, fearing being bumped into by the police,

she took the stairs directly, going down a dozen floors to the first floor. She was extremely burned out.

After Eileen left, Camille didn't take her words to heart. She knew very well that Eileen was only trying

to provoke her. If she really wanted to tell her something, why would she behave like that?

Judging from these words just now, it was obvious that she was deliberately provoking her and making

her resentful of Ayan.

She narrowed her eyes slightly and mentally asked silently, "Did Eileen have anything to do with him

doing this? Did he instruct her to do so?"

She sucked in a silent breath. The slight stiffness in her face did not disappear, but became more and

more serious.

Her speculation kept growing in her heart until it covered all her mind.

Camille didn't call Ayan to ask. She still chose to believe him, because she naturally trusted Ayan more

than Eileen, and because Ayan's reaction when Cora was locked up in the villa didn't seem like he still

had old feelings for Cora.

With a silent sigh, she gathered all her thoughts and continued to work.

Before work, Yessica came to talk to her again about Preston's secretary's resignation. The secretary

still insisted on leaving and hoped that the company would release him early in consideration of his

dedication.

Camille found it a bit annoying and didn't really care what he was leaving for, and nodded after

confirming that he didn't know all the nuts and bolts of the company's current projects.

After work, Sienna's call came in.

Sienna asked her to have dinner together, but not at Sienna's restaurant, but at a very private place.

Sienna drove over to pick her up herself.

After getting in the car, Camille then asked, "Why did you choose a place so far away?"

The destination was about an hour away from downtown of Hance City, and it took two hours to get

there and back. Plus the time to eat, it would cost at least four hours .

Sienna drove and also sighed, "It's decided by them."

"Them?"

"Your man and Rex."

"And Rex is not a man?"

Sienna hummed lightly and did not speak, but a slight frown between the brows seemed to tell she had

something on her mind.

Camille's eyes narrowed and she asked lightly, "What's wrong?"

Sienna didn't answer immediately until she stopped at a traffic light half a minute later. She turned to

Camille and said, "Mario's engagement is cancelled."

Camille flinched slightly, her eyelids blinking gently, "When?"

"Today the King family contacted me and asked me to talk to Mario about not calling off the

engagement and getting married preferably within six months."

Sienna's face was expressionless, with a vague twinkle of sadness under her eyes.

Camille did not know what was on her mind, but could understand that she did not want to do so.

Camille didn't know what really happened between Sienna and Mario, only that their relationship as

siblings wasn't like before, and she didn't know exactly when it changed.

Sienna later chose to live in Hance City permanently, and the contact with Mario became less and less.

Now the King family threw Sienna into this dilemma, no doubt reconnecting Sienna with Mario.

Camille's eyes narrowed slightly and her voice trailed off as she asked, "Have you contacted him?"

"No, it's his business. How am I going to ask him to do anything? Isn't that ridiculous?" Sienna smiled

helplessly and the green light came on at that moment. She stepped on the gas pedal with both hands

on the steering wheel and drove forward.

Camille couldn't say much, just said, "If you do not want to do it, then do not do it. It's Mario's business.

He'll be responsible for himself, and besides, even if you ask, are you sure he'll listen to you?"

Sienna merely said, "H'm", but her heart was extremely heavy, because she knew very well that if she

asked, Mario would definitely say yes.

When they arrived at the destination, several men were waiting for them at the entrance chatting.

When they got out of the car and walked past, they walked into the restaurant together.

The taste of the food here was relatively light-flavored. It was opened by one of Rex's friends in

business, and the dishes were also all arranged in advance.

In the private box, the crowd had been seated. Camille naturally sat next to Ayan. Just sitting down, her

hand was suddenly held by the man next to her.

He squeezed it gently. His warm gaze fell on her, his thin lips raised with a faint smile, and while no one

was looking, he tilted his head closer and asked in a low voice: "Busy this afternoon? Haven't

contacted me once. What were you up to?"
