Chapter 1567: Neglect

Kian paused for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, the information we have received so far is like this."

"Do we not have any suitable properties at our disposal?" Ayan asked indifferently. The Simpson Group owns a lot of real estate in Hance City, spread throughout the entire city. While it may not be as prevalent in other cities, it is relatively easy to find Simpson Group properties on any given street in Hance City.

Kian immediately understood what Ayan meant. "Of course, I will make arrangements right away."

"No need to be too deliberate. Some properties that are not directly under our control can also work. Once they confirm the lease or make a direct purchase, it will be the same as if they were ours. This way, we save time in the future," Ayan said, still understanding Preston.

If they were to start looking for the company's address, he would definitely conduct a detailed investigation.

After all, he was well aware that Simpson Group, especially when it came to real estate in Hance City, had an overwhelming presence. He wanted to avoid it.

However, even if they avoided it openly, Ayan couldn't avoid getting involved if he truly wanted to.

Preston probably hadn't realized this yet. If he had, he wouldn't have provoked him in this way, let alone try to win over Daisy.

Moreover, Tillery's Corporation, behind Daisy, still had a cooperative relationship with Simpson Group. In this situation, Preston chose to collaborate with Daisy against him, which was clearly provocation. Setting Daisy aside, just Preston's thoughts and intentions were enough to make Ayan strongly dislike him.

But Preston has always been oblivious; he simply wouldn't understand this, nor would he consider whether he had done something wrong.

In his mind, all his ideas were correct.

As usual, Kian acted swiftly and immediately found suitable properties for the company's location. There were more than a dozen options, most of which were already in their possession, and even those that weren't could be quickly obtained.

Now they just needed Daisy and Preston to fall into their trap.

After discussing this matter with Kian, Ayan returned to his room.

Camille was video chatting with Timmy. It had been a while since mother and son had seen each other, but they video chatted punctually every day. In a couple of days, Talia would be going out to take care of some things, so Timmy would come and stay with them for a few days.

Camille didn't have much going on recently; she had already finished the project she was responsible for, assigned by Sienna.

Camille was extremely happy that Timmy was coming to stay. She said to Ayan, "Can we buy a small bed tomorrow and install it in our room?"

Their bedroom didn't have a small bed because Timmy rarely slept in the master bedroom. Usually, he slept with the nanny in the small bedroom.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org

Upon hearing Camille's request, Ayan didn't beat around the bush and directly refused, "Don't we have a children's room? Let him stay there with the nanny."

It had been the same when he came to stay before, so why suddenly change things?

Ayan strongly disagreed; he didn't want to lose the time alone with Camille because of Timmy's arrival.

His refusal startled Camille, and she asked, "Why can't he stay with us?"

"It's for his own good. Boys need to be independent from a young age. If he stays with us, how can he learn to be independent?" Ayan started persuading Camille.

He approached this issue from Timmy's perspective, resolving everything with Timmy's best interests in mind. As long as it was for Timmy's good, Camille would naturally support it.

Camille paused, as if she also felt there was some truth to it, and then she just silently agreed.

Upon seeing this, Ayan let out a sigh of relief, finally getting rid of the little rival for affection.

However, he overlooked Camille's longing for Timmy. The next day, Timmy came over from the Simpson's mansion, and that evening, Camille left Ayan and went into the children's room with Timmy. After finishing his work in the study, Ayan returned to the bedroom but didn't see Camille. He thought she was just playing with Timmy in the children's room and wondered why Timmy wasn't asleep yet. He went straight to the children's room to find Camille. When he opened the door, he found that the main light was off, leaving only a nightlight.

Timmy had just fallen asleep, but Camille was still awake. Of course, she knew someone had opened the door. She sat up slightly and saw that it was Ayan. Almost instinctively, she asked, "What are you doing?"

This question left Ayan stunned.

Ayan didn't answer, so Camille asked again, "What else do you have to do?"

"You're going to sleep here?"

"Yeah, tonight I want to sleep with Timmy. Look, he's already asleep. 1 haven't spent much time with him

lately Camille said, feeling a bit

guilty, her heart melting as she

looked at the soft Timmy.

But Ayan didn't see it that way. All he knew was that if Camille slept here tonight, he would have to sleep alone.

He walked in without saying a word, walked to the side of the bed, and looked down at Timmy from above to make sure he was already fast asleep. Then Ayan leaned down and picked up Camille. Camille couldn't help but let out a surprised cry, and Ayan's voice, low and hoarse, said, "Don't make a sound, you'll wake up Timmy."

Camille instinctively wrapped her hands around his neck and with a voice filled with surprise, she said, "What are you doing? Put me down quickly."

It was impossible for him to put her down. He didn't even bother to take off his shoes and carried her straight back to the master bedroom.

As for Timmy, the nanny would take care of him, of course.

Back in the bedroom, Ayan kicked the door shut with his foot, then carried Camille towards the bed. He placed Camille on the bed and before she could react, a force pressed her down. Camille moved uncomfortably, and Ayan's voice, low and hoarse, said, "Don't move."

The implications were heavy, instantly turning Camille's face red and burning.

Camille tightly pursed her lips and remained silent, not wanting to respond.

Ayan asked softly, "Do you feel it?"

"I'm tired, I want to sleep," Camille replied.

Her response was clear, she didn't want to do anything.

Ayan squinted his eyes. Her indifference was too obvious, making it hard not to notice.

He asked, "Are you neglecting me?"

Camille instinctively widened her eyes. His voice sounded somewhat aggrieved, making her feel confused and uncomfortable.

Camille stopped talking, and Ayan took it as her silent agreement.

From the beginning of this scene, Camille was absent-minded throughout without any pleasure. This stirred up some emotions in Ayan's mood, and he didn't want to continue. He interrupted and gently embraced her, asking, "Can you tell me what really happened? Or do you feel unsatisfied or dislike what I've done? We can talk it through, okay?"
