Chapter 1398 Twisted

Chapter 1398 Twisted

For so many years, they never had a falling out. Even when Regina gave birth, Page waved her hand and arranged the bestconfinement center for her. Regina had told Page she was dumped when she was pregnant, but the man who got her pregnantdisappeared without a trace. Regina wanted the child, so she decided to keep it. Page was heartbroken at first, but seeingRegina's determination, she eventually agreed.

The Armstrong family was thriving back then. Brody could handle things on his own, so Page had enough time and money tosupport Regina. Looking back now, everything Page did back then must have seemed like a joke to them, right?

They must have laughed behind Page's back, calling her a fool, right?Thinking about this, Grace couldn't get past the resentment she felt for Page, as well as the animosity she held in her heart.Grace was determined not to mess things up and to not let Regina see any signs of trouble.

She made up her mind, but Horace was also worried. Too much had happened in the past few days, and she had gone througha lot. He couldn't help but worry.

After some deliberation, Horace said to Grace, "| promise to let you take a cab there, but | will follow in my car. | won't interferewith your plan, and | won't let her find out. So, go ahead and do what you need to do with confidence."

Grace nodded lightly, flashing a faint smile.

Since she had already arranged for a car, summoned through a ride-hailing app, Grace couldn't afford to waste any more time. She had to go see Regina. In case Regina tried to test her, Grace had mentally prepared for all possible scenarios.

Leaving with Horace, Ayan immediately contacted Kian to join forces with Horace, in case Grace lost control of her emotions infront of Regina and spilled everything. If Regina acted out and harmed Grace in her desperation, Horace would most likely haveto take a leave of absence again.

Ayan wouldn't allow such a situation to occur.Originally a group of six, now only two of them were left, making the remaining four fall into a sudden silence.

The quiet atmosphere was a bit unsettling. Sienna shot a glance at Camille, who received it but remained nonchalant, only givingher a fleeting look.

Sienna pursed her lips, speaking in an indifferent tone, "Will the Armstrong family matter eventually be made public?"

Camille hadn't considered this question because she was not the one in charge. If Ayan hadn't been vigilant, the issue wouldhave become common knowledge long ago.

Subconsciously, she looked to Ayan, and, receiving his gaze, she spoke, "If we don't make it public, the gossip media will makeup stories. When the forensic side clarifies everything, they will contact the media, and the police will release an officialstatement to prevent further distortion."

Camille nodded, "Okay, I'll defer to your judgment."

“Leefeng, when are we going home?" Sienna asked affectatiously.

Rex didn't understand and quickly asked, "When do you want to go?"

"1? Oh, I'll listen to you," she said, imitating Camille's tone with a smile on her face, challenging Camille with her eyes.Camille rolled her eyes but decided to tolerate it.

Rex chuckled, looking at Ayan, "Ayan, have you figured things out yet? Judging by the current situation, there's a high likelihoodthat Armstrong Corp will fall entirely into Horace's hands. Have you thought about letting Horace and Grace register theirmarriage first?"

“Maybe you should ask Horace yourself," Ayan replied calmly.

"Since you're Horace's brother-in-law, it might be better coming from you. I'm a bit hesitant, being an outsider and all," Rex saidcasually.

Ayan remained silent, seemingly lost in thought. Sienna added, "I think it's a good idea. If it's related to your father and he'slegally responsible, Armstrong Corp could end up with just the two of you. You care about Grace, otherwise, you wouldn't behelping her. Even though things seem okay between her and Horace now, she needs adequate security."

Grace agreed with Rex's suggestion to register their marriage first or sign an agreement to secure a portion of Armstrong Corpfor her. It was just a worst-case scenario plan, but having it in place gave Grace some reassurance and a backup plan.

Camille didn't immediately respond but looked serious.novelbin

Sienna understood that Camille already had a plan in mind and didn't press further.

After chatting for a while, Sienna and Rex went back home.

Camille and Ayan stayed behind, sitting quietly. Camille leaned against Ayan, sighing softly, "The way they put it, it seems likeGrace is the only one left in the Armstrong family.”

If Camille hadn't married Ayan, if she hadn't been considered part of the Armstrong family, no one outside would even know sheexisted.

Add in Brody and Page's cold attitude towards her, and Camille had long stopped seeing herself as part of the Armstrong family. Her words seemed to startle Ayan, who asked, "Why do you say that? Why would the Armstrong family only have Grace left?"

"Because I'm not part of theArmstrong family anymore. Thenever treated eagieaitot cg ormparttate'sto one left in theArmstrong family except Grace, right? Why are you so nervous?"Please read the original content atNovelDrama.Org.

Camille looked at Ayan with a hint of probing and confusion in her eyes.Ayan remained calm, smiling lightly as he said, "No problem at all. I'm just worried that you might be affected by their business."

"There's no way | could be affected. But since everything has happened, |also want to secur arn bénéfl

Camille understood this well. Her feelings for the Armstrong family were indifferent, but her feelings for Grace were deep.
