Chapter 1110: Balance

Chapter 1110: Balance

Ayan held the unfinished drink in one hand, a faint smile in his eyes as he looked at Camille beside

him. His thin lips lightly parted, and he said, "Not a fan."

"If you don't like it, why did you ask me to buy it? Do you want to talk to Grandpa privately?" Camille

looked at Ayan without paying attention to the road. With Ayan by her side, she didn't need to worry

about navigating. She voiced her speculations, "Is it about Grandpa's hospitalization? Are you afraid

Grandpa will get anxious?"

Ayan, hearing her question, nodded in agreement.

Camille continued, "Your concern isn't unreasonable. Grandpa might feel a bit stifled after staying in the

hospital for a long time. It's right to comfort him more."

Ayan didn't respond to Camille's words but changed the subject, saying, "You don't need to come see

Grandpa tomorrow. Spend the night at the Simpson's mansion with Timmy!"

Camille nodded slightly but expressed concern, "If I don't come to keep Grandpa company, will he feel

disappointed?"

"He won't. Dad will come tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, we'll have Aria visit. Then, it'll be our

turn. Everyone doesn't need to be with him every day; it might make him feel pressured. Taking turns to

keep him company will be more enjoyable, and he might even come to love staying here. After all,

there's always someone around to accompany him."

Ayan chuckled softly, understanding the old Simpson's preferences well. However, his words caused

Camille to narrow her eyes slightly.

Camille said lightly, "You're just making things up; I'll tell Grandpa."

"Now you're threatening me?"

"Hmm!"

"Are you this heartless?" Ayan chuckled, lowly sighed, "Can't you be a bit nicer to me?"

Camille remained silent. The two of them took the elevator down to the parking lot, the car just a few

steps away from the elevator. They quickly got in.

Camille whispered, "Ayan, Grandpa always protects me in front of you. Does that make you

uncomfortable?"

Hearing Camille suddenly ask such a question, Ayan was also momentarily stunned. The hand that

was about to fasten the seatbelt froze.

His black-and-white distinct eyes instinctively revealed a warm gaze as he looked at Camille. His voice,

low and hoarse, said, "Do you know what you're talking about?"

Camille nodded gently.

Ayan continued, "Since you know what you're saying, tell me, why would I be unhappy?"

"Did I take away the affection Grandpa should have for you?" Camille tentatively asked.

Ayan smiled, "What have you done to take away Grandpa's affection for me? So, you tell me, what's

our relationship? Should I be jealous or happy that Grandpa treats you well?"

Camille's eyelashes trembled slightly, her facial expression instantly softening, and her heart had

already found an answer.

Seeing Camille not responding, Ayan's voice sounded again. He asked, "Why aren't you answering

me? Huh?"

Camille pursed her lips lightly, her gaze shifting to the side. She didn't want to engage with Ayan,

simply saying, "Drive quickly; I'm tired and want to go home to sleep."

Ayan looked at her dodging the main point, lightly snorted, "You only know how to bully me."

Camille didn't respond. He said she bullied him, and well, after all, she had debts to settle.

Who made her like him for so many years, and he hadn't given her the slightest response?

Camille thought lightly, but there was a faint smile playing on her lips where Ayan couldn't see.

A dreamless night passed, and it was another morning.

Everyone was busy with their respective tasks, and the design competition was about to begin in a few

days, so Camille was quite occupied these days.

According to Rex, Sienna hadn't had much sleep these days. Probably afraid of bothering him, they

slept separately at night. It was as if they had already stepped into an elderly couple's life in advance.

This made Rex quite dissatisfied, so he immediately went to protest to Ayan.

Rex complained to Ayan, "Can you make this damn competition end sooner?"

Ayan glanced at Rex indifferently, as if looking at a fool. Rex said, "Sienna and I are preparing for

pregnancy. Look at how busy she is. Even busier than me. If you didn't know, you'd think she owns

some big corporation!"

Ayan put down his work, raised his head, and scanned Rex with an indifferent and cold gaze. His voice

was indifferent and cold as he said, "A man shouldn't shirk the responsibility of not being able to

conceive onto women and work. You should find reasons within yourself."

Ayan's indifferent words made Rex's eyes subconsciously widen.

Rex couldn't believe what he had just heard. He looked at Ayan in shock and asked, "Ayan, what do

you mean by that?"

"What do you mean? Don't you understand?" Ayan asked indifferently.

Rex suddenly felt that he had been insulted beyond belief. He looked at Ayan in disbelief and said,

"Ayan, are you insulting me?"

"Really?" Ayan said indifferently, "I'm just stating the facts. Don't jump to conclusions. Are you really

this kind of person?"

Rex felt as if he had been deeply humiliated. He couldn't believe what he had heard. Incredulously, he

said, "Ayan, what do you mean by this?"

"What do you mean you don't understand?" Ayan asked indifferently.

Rex instantly felt that he had been deeply humiliated. He couldn't believe what he had heard.

Incredulously, he said, "Ayan, you are insulting me!"

"Do I?" Ayan said indifferently, "I'm just stating the facts. Don't jump to conclusions. Are you really this

kind of person?"

In a battle of wits, Rex had never been Ayan's match, so no matter what Ayan said, he couldn't argue

against it.

In the end, unable to continue defending himself, Rex could only sigh helplessly and say, "Ayan, I didn't

mean that. I just feel that it's too busy. Do you think Camille is not busy? Do you want her to be so busy

and indifferent to you?"

Do I want that?novelbin

Of course not.

After all, Camille had been too busy and indifferent to him. He had protested before, so naturally, he

understood Rex's thoughts. However, he wouldn't say it out loud.

He remained unfazed and said indifferently, "They have their own things to do. Don't you want her to

stay at home waiting for you every day?"

"Well, that would be good. At least, I can see her when I come home."

"She's not your accessory. If you make such demands, I advise you to dispel this idea early. After all,

Mario will be in Hance City soon. If you don't change your mindset, according to Sienna's character,

she will definitely carefully examine the relationship between you two."

Ayan also thought it wasn't good for Camille to be too busy, but he wouldn't stop her from having her

own career. He wouldn't let her give up on herself, because when a person loses themselves, they start

to have wild thoughts. It's like a beautiful flower losing its radiance after losing the sunlight.
