Sanford straightened up and glanced at Maggie. “Maggie, you heard her explanation. It was all just a misunderstanding.”Maggie lowered her head and replied softly, “Okay.”

“Let's go,” Brian stated, casting a glance at Sanford as he led the way to the door.
