Breaking the quiet, Gail announced, “You know, Noemi, destiny proposed that our families would unite through marriagesomeday, should we have a son and a daughter. It seems destiny had its own plans.”
This coaxed a smile from Noemi, though it seemed strained.“Yes. But, they ended up divorcing.”
She was yet unaware of the fake divorce.
