Brendan’s eyes widened for a moment when they landed on Rosalynn, but he quickly gathered himself and nodded.
“Likewise.”
It was as if he was looking at the younger version of his wife.
“Brendan, Rosa and | made the bread together. Do you want to try it?”
She picked up a piece of bread and asked.
Brendan said, “I don’t really have a choice, do I? It’s either that or you get upset.”
Gail took a piece of bread and brought it to his mouth.
