Silvia sat across from her and asked, “Why did you suddenly invite me for dinner?”
Isla shot her an angry glance. “You disappeared abruptly for so many days. How can I rest easy whenyou’re missing?”
Silvia smiled. She picked up the menu and casually asked, “You don’t have to look after Davidanymore?”
Since she was looking at the menu, she did not catch the unnatural expression that briefly appeared onIsla’s face.
“He’s been discharged from the hospital. I won’t meet him anymore.”
Silvia finally sensed that something was off and looked at Isla. “Why did you suddenly make thatdecision?”

Silvia did not know how to comfort Isla when she saw the sorrow in her eyes. After all, her ownromantic relationship was a chaotic affair. She was not in a position to judge someone else’srelationship.

“We broke up.”
Isla frowned. “That’s so sudden. Why? When you disappeared, he came to me and asked if I could getin touch with you.
“Later, when Liam falsely accused him and the police detained him at the station, he asked David andRyan to help him find you. I think he really loves you.
Isla sighed.
Silvia gripped her cup so hard that her knuckles turned white. She lowered her head and remainedsilent.
Noticing her reluctance to discuss it further, Isla quickly changed the subject. “Let’s not dwell on it. I’mgoing to start filming a TV series tomorrow. I’ll probably be on set for about six months.”
Silvia appeared surprised. “What kind of series would take that long?”
“It’s Mr. Thompson’s new TV series. He’s known for being strict in the industry, so filming will take alittle longer.
Silvia nodded. “Well, it’s a good thing. The best way to move on from a relationship is to focus onwork.”
Isla chuckled. “Actually, the most effective way to forget about a relationship is to start a new
one.”
