“What’s wrong, Ada? Why are you in such rough shape?”
Ada forced a smile. “I’m okay. I’m just a little tired because I’ve been busy with work.”
Rainy seemed sympathetic. “Work is endless, but your health is the most important thing. Don’t tireyourself out.”
Ada nodded. “Mhm. I’ll get back to the party.”
“Okay.”
Once she was gone, Rainy slowly walked into the washroom and touched up Then, she smiled at themirror.

Rainy kept her head low and appeared shy.
Meanwhile, Amelia glanced at Mindy and Ada, who were sitting in silence. She was incredibly smugbecause Ada used to surpass Rainy. Now, Ada could no longer compare to Rainy after her big scandal.
“Rainy is still young. Besides, the youngsters these days are different from our generation. They wantthe freedom to choose their partners. We’re old, so we can’t meddle with that.”

There was a large screen with photos of Rainy’s various experiences in the hall. While they chattedhappily, the screen suddenly went black before it lit up again. However, the photos had been replacedwith a dark video.
The crowd was stunned. Someone attentive noticed a man and a woman in the video. Surprisingly, thewoman turned out to be Ada.
They seemed to be discussing business in a private room. The man was being handsy with her, butAda endured it to sign a contract with him.
Blood swiftly drained from Ada’s face when she saw the video. She seemed to be rooted to the
spot.
Bethany was livid as she gritted her teeth. “Who put this on? Turn it off right now!”
A worker nearby realized what was going on and unplugged the power cord.
The large screen quickly dimmed, but everyone had started talking about it.

Mindy finally snapped and met Bethany’s gaze.

Mindy’s words shook everyone to the core.
They could not believe their ears, and they soon began to gossip among themselves.
However, Bethany’s blood pressure spiked, and she blacked out.

It was a mess. All the members of the Pond Family went to support Bethany, except Mindy and Ada.

Brighton faced the crowd and said, “I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen. We can’t entertain you becausemy mother has fainted all of a sudden. Please enjoy dinner before you leave. We’ll be driving mymother to the hospital. We’re incredibly sorry for this, and we’ll hold another party to make it up to younext time.”
Dulcie glanced at Silvia, who had silently lowered her head. She sneered and said, “Your mother’srather protective of Ada. It’s a pity that she’s blind. She mistook a lesser person for someone great.”
Silvia slowly raised her head, but she was emotionless.
“What a boring farce. I wouldn’t have come if I had known this would happen.”
