Chapter 221

hapter 221

[Alright. Let me know when you get home.]

Silvia was about to reply to Neil’s message when Dulcie suddenly asked, “Have you gotten yourself aboyfriend? Why are you always glued to your phone?”

Silvia did not expect Dulcie to be so sharp. She kept her phone and calmly said, “No. I was just replyingto a client’s message.”

“I see. Let’s have pizza tonight.”

“Okay.”

After they

got off work, Dulcie led Silvia to a new pizza restaurant near MY Corporation.

Once they placed their orders, Dulcie turned her attention to Silvia and said, “Since Neil saved you theother day, don’t you think you should thank him properly?”

“How should I thank him?”novelbin

“How would I know? He rushed over as soon as he heard that you were trapped in Greenvale. I’m surehe has feelings for you.”

Silvia took a sip of water and did not disagree with Dulcie.

“Tell me, have you ever considered getting back together with him?”

Silvia choked on her water and coughed several times.

Dulcie quickly handed her a few tissues. “Relax. I was just asking. I didn’t mean for you to get backtogether with him right now.”

After a brief silence, Silvia asked, “Do you think I should consider getting back together with him?”

Dulcie pondered for a few seconds and shook her head. She explained, “Honestly, given hisrelationship with Ada, it’s unlikely that they’ll completely cut off contact. If you do get back. with him,you might find Ada constantly bothering you in the future. I’d advise against it.

“But when a man comes to your rescue when you’re on the brink of death, it’s hard not to developfeelings for him.”

Silvia tightened her grip around her glass. She looked down and got lost in her thoughts.

Soon, the waiter served their food.

They chatted as they ate, and Dulcie brought Henry up.

Lately, Henry had gone back to pursuing Dulcie.

It might have been out of guilt and the desire to make amends at first. However, Henry eventually fellfor her again, so he wanted to rekindle their relationship.

He had invited Dulcie out for dinner several times, but she had rejected all of his invites. Silvia frowned.“Wasn’t he deeply in love with Snow? Why the sudden change?” Dulcie shook her head. “I don’t know. He’s probably out of his mind. Anyway, I don’t have

feelings for him anymore, and we’re not getting back together.”

Once she decided to move on from a relationship, she really meant it. She would not change her mindno matter what Henry did.

“Didn’t Snow use to be in love with Henry? Hasn’t she tried to get back together with him?” Dulciesneered. “Her father has recently invested in several dramas, and she’s busy filming to make a namefor herself. She doesn’t have time for Henry. But I heard that she’s been romantically involved with awealthy heir in the film and television industry. I doubt she even remembers who Henry is.”

When Silvia thought about their previous meetings and how Henry had stood up for Snow, she felt amix of emotions.

She believed that with the Brooks Family’s wealth, Henry could have helped Snow in her career, butSnow ruined that opportunity.

Neither she nor Henry deserved any sympathy.

After dinner, Silvia and Dulcie left the restaurant.

Silvia was surprised to see a black Maybach parked by the road. She turned to Dulcie and said, ”Dulcie, you go ahead. I’d like to take a walk on my own.”

She had come to a decision in terms of her relationship with Neil, but she still did not know how torepay him.

After Dulcie left, she walked toward Neil’s car and got inside.

Neil glanced at her and softly said, “Are you done? Let me send you back.”

“That’s okay. I’ve something to tell you.

She knew that after she said what was on her mind, Neil would probably ask her to leave.

Neil tightened his grip on the document in his hand. Then, he turned to face her.

“You’ve thought it through?”

“Yes.”

Silvia nodded and said with a serious expression, “I don’t think we’re suited for each other.”
