Dahlia seemed a little sad. "Yeah. It's been so many years,” she whispered.

Dahlia's face changed. "It's not the same, mom. Quentin and | have been in love for so many years. He and Stella agreed to getdivorced."
Cordelia leered at her and said, "If you really love Quentin, where were you when the lab he was in caught on fire?"Dahlia's heart tightened, and she wanted to cry instantly. "Are you still blaming me for what happened?"

When Dahlia left Cordelia's place, she received a call from Aurora. "Mom, have you contacted Keegan yet? Mrs. Saun andJaylene are almost here."
Dahlia's expression softened slightly. "I'll call him right away. Remember to stall them. I'll be there soon."

After hanging up the phone, Dahlia dialed Keegan's number. Keegan did not get much sleep last night and only had a short napin the lounge. When he saw Dahlia calling, he tossed his phone to Aldor and asked him to answer it.
Aldor picked up the call and said, "Hello?"
"It's you? Where's Keegan.”
"Mr. Kane is in a meeting. Is everything okay, Madam?"
Dahlia did not know Keegan's interests, but she knew Keegan's temperament. If Keegan was in a meeting and he asked Aldor topick up the call, that meant that he most likely did not want to hear her voice.
So, she said bluntly, "Put Keegan on the phone."
